I'm looking for that hate and I hope that he gets injured energy towards Trae Young coming up soon
Looking for that consistency for the showmanship lol

The showmanship is not why they hate Steph.

It's primarily a class issue. He's the best son of an NBA player ever outside of Kobe Bryant (and has more MVPs than Kobe with many years hopefully ahead of him, in which time he has a chance to bypass Kobe in the GOAT rankings). It's nothing but begrudging his success because of the idea that he had it easier.

And he did have it easier than the LeBrons and most of them. But let's see their kids do what he's done. A lot of people have NBA fathers and none of them revolutionized the game like Steph. And it's ironic because would they turn around and hate their own sons if they grew to have his success?

Secondarily, as much as I hate to echo Dr. Truth, there is a colorism aspect to it-- People resent that "Baby-faced assassin" shit and how Steph is treated like an adorable teddy bear. And there's truth to the double standard but it ain't his fault, so IMO it's unfair to target any anger at that at him.

Third is just sheer jealousy-- The first two factors plus the fact that he's the best in the history of the world at something so fundamental as shooting the basketball. You add his caliber to that class and color combination... And you have a lot of players in their feelings over Steph.

Yeah once Durant...had enough of Beverly's trolling and trying to get under his skin, he torched Beverly & sent them niggas home for the playoffs.

Beverly is just theatrics at this point in his career now.

Durant is 6'10 and indisputably one of the top two dozen scorers in NBA history! Yeah, he had the last laugh but the only way you can not give Beverly credit for his performance is if you're blind, just hating or did not watch the actual games.

(And Beverly has been a top-notch defender for years, I'm just citing his premier performance because it's an easy and recent point of reference.)

I've watched the actual games...I also watched Beverly since he came into the league with Rockets (my hometown team). Beverly is not a shut down defender even pre injuries he wasn't. What he's been good at is giving all out effort & hustle that's what made him stick in this league.

I watched dude up close many Rockets playoffs. Lillard cooked him years ago in that Blazers series.. Westbrook did the same in the OKC series until Beverly took out Westbrook's knee. He's not shutting down star scorers in this league.

Like someone said, he's all bark now post injuries so now he resorts to troll antics against star players to get in their heads. He's overrated defensively this stage in his career.

Buying into the hype...

Every time Beverly call himself getting under somebody skin playing "solid" defense that nigga get TORCHED.

Booker lit his ass up earlier this year too
Bev stay getting lit up by elite players shit is nothing new.... KD did it, Steph, Russ, Harden, Dame, all them dudes

Who are all these people who hate Steph (except me of course)? I remember when BGOL loved the guy.. had entire ridiculous threads dedicated to his greatness and even discussed him being better than Bron and MJ..

Maybe, just MAYBE, the absurdity of it all turned some off to him and the constant force fed media hype of he and his family... The whole unanimous MVP thing didnt help matters either.

Bron leading the league in assists by a wide margin. You seeing this @HotNixon36 ? A player in year 17 aint supposed to be looking like prime Magic with athleticism. :smh: The difference between him and other celebrated volume shooters is Bron can pass too.

Good for Melo

This is the year where I finally might be right, the Spurs aren't making the playoffs.

Hornets are doing a lot better than I expected this year with little talent. They're playing hard.

Something is missing with the 76ers...the dookie? Butler?
