I'm looking for that hate and I hope that he gets injured energy towards Trae Young coming up soon
Looking for that consistency for the showmanship lol
The showmanship is not why they hate Steph.
It's primarily a class issue. He's the best son of an NBA player ever outside of Kobe Bryant (and has more MVPs than Kobe with many years hopefully ahead of him, in which time he has a chance to bypass Kobe in the GOAT rankings). It's nothing but begrudging his success because of the idea that he had it easier.
And he did have it easier than the LeBrons and most of them. But let's see their kids do what he's done. A lot of people have NBA fathers and none of them revolutionized the game like Steph. And it's ironic because would they turn around and hate their own sons if they grew to have his success?
Secondarily, as much as I hate to echo Dr. Truth, there is a colorism aspect to it-- People resent that "Baby-faced assassin" shit and how Steph is treated like an adorable teddy bear. And there's truth to the double standard but it ain't his fault, so IMO it's unfair to target any anger at that at him.
Third is just sheer jealousy-- The first two factors plus the fact that he's the best in the history of the world at something so fundamental as shooting the basketball. You add his caliber to that class and color combination... And you have a lot of players in their feelings over Steph.
