Damn I wonder what it feels like to know before season even starts that the NBA front office thinks your teams sucks so bad that you'll only be on TV 3 times all year.

Or in the case of the Dubs, what it feels like to wish that you could only be featured 3 or 4 times, but know that your team is gonna get their teeth kicked in on national TV all year long.

Wonder which one feels worst. A question for the philosophers, I suppose.

Cavs haven't getting blown out this year, six of their fourteen loses were less than ten points(all being playoff teams from last season)...:dunno::dunno:

Say what you want about the Cavs but at least they try unlike the Knicks..I don't understand, how a team that won less than anyone in the league has six national televised games....

Seems like Mavs wanted the Lakers to beat them from 3. I ain’t gonna lie I thought Luka at best was gonna be Ginobilli. I thought he was gonna be a bust.
Yeah, they been trying to find the next Dirk for almost 20 years. :smh: Remember the hype on Ricky Rubio? There was also that flop from the '03 draft. I stopped believing the hype of these Euros who supposedly been pros for years and will transition well to the NBA.

They finally got one this time. If he sustains these numbers, hell have posted the best year by a cac in the last 50 years. They better make him wait for all the glory like they did with Lebron.

I can already tell I'm going to grow to hate Luka like I did Kobe. I'm going to need Lebron to stick around and bust Luka's ass for a couple years.

Yeah, I can tell he is going to have the same problem Dirk and Lebron had. He better take the Lebron route of holding Cuban to the fire and not the Dirk route of leaving chips on the table and fucking up his legacy. That team lives and dies with Luka just like Lebron's and Dirk's teams.

Houston Rockets guard James Harden has strangely drawn criticism following his 60 point performance against the Atlanta Hawks. Here’s why that needs to stop!

It seems to have become the trending thing to hate Houston Rockets superstar James Harden. Harden constantly faces slander despite a large majority of the negative takes being erroneous. We constantly hear takes on how Harden doesn’t play defense, although that’s blatantly incorrect and we also hear about how he shrinks in the playoffs, even though that’s also not true.

It’s become clear that Harden is the villain of the NBA and none of his acts of greatness can change it. The latest example is Harden’s 60-point performance in the Houston Rockets’ last game on Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks.

Facing the Hawks, the Rockets were short-handed as they were without Danuel House and Clint Capela in addition to the injuries to Eric Gordon and Gerald Green. With the Rockets being significantly under-manned, Harden picked up the slack in a major way. The Beard had 60 points on 66 percent shooting from the field and 57 percent shooting from 3-point range while only playing in three quarters. Harden is no stranger to the 60 point milestone, as he’s now accomplished the feat on four occasions, ranking third in NBA history. This time was much different, as Harden drew unfair criticism from this most recent achievement.

The criticism started immediately after the game and has continued days afterwards. One of the more entertaining takes was that “Harden was playing for stats” since he was still in the game late in the third quarter. This is contradictory because the Hawks had Trae Young on the floor in the fourth quarter, despite playing in an overtime game the night before. Not only that, but the Houston Rockets were facing a myriad of injuries which left them significantly short-handed. In fact, Harden didn’t play any of the fourth quarter yet the Hawks actually had their starters in during the fourth, despite being down significantly on the scoreboard.

Another take was that Harden was dominant only because the Rockets were facing the lowly Hawks, as if Harden can control who the Rockets face on the schedule. This is selective criticism because Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis scored 41 points against the lowly New Orleans Pelicans just days before and there was national praise. This was despite the fact that Davis needed more shots to get to 41 than Harden needed to get to 60. Not only that, Davis played more minutes to get there and wasn’t nearly as efficient as the Beard. Davis shot 50 percent from the field and 25 percent from three, as compared to Harden’s 67 percent from the field and 57 percent from downtown.

This national Harden hate has also been exuded in how Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks seems to have already earned the MVP award in the eyes of the national media yet Doncic is shooting 33 percent from three while averaging 30.6 points per game, compared to Harden’s 35.5 percent from deep and 38.9 points per game.

It’s obvious that Harden will always be the villain but following a 60 point game, there shouldn’t be anything negative to say. We are all witnessing offensive dominance and it shouldn’t be taken for granted.

Mavs shot the 3 well and the supporting cast couldn't buy a bucket. I hate wasting LeBron on a shit game like this. I think Frank left him and AD in there too long.

Oh and Luka is better than I thought he would be. That cac is going to make some allstar teams.
I'm still mad that the hawks traded him. Never should have done that. Dude gonna be a superstar...

I think Sixers coming out of east. Don't see a team in east beating them right now....
If we can keep up this style of play. The last two game Embiid has been playing more inside and we won both games. He falls into trouble when he hits one or two 3s early. Then he start hanging out on the perimeter and defenses can settle with letting him launch more 3s. With Ben still refusing to shoot, Embiid can't be on the perimeter. It kills our spacing.

Thybulle and Horford has been amazing so far. They might be the X factor we need to get over the hump.

Embiid should always play from the inside out; and hate to see him taking those 3s; maybe 1 a game but thats it; And yes those 2 are x factors; I just think the Sixers matchup great against the Bucks; and thats the team they need to beat to get to the finals; I dont know if they can win a chip; but to me they are the team that will come out of the east.....

Sixers are damn near unstoppable when Embiid stays down low. I'd like to see Simmons cut more to the basket on those hard double teams on Embiid down low and dunk the fucin ball. Shit is there often.

This might be the worst Knicks team ever assembled!
Are you kidding, this is the best Knicks team ever! I've already made about $200 on FanDuel just betting against them. Hell I made 65 when they played the Bucks and I didn't even bother watching the game. Just saw they were playing the Bucks and saw easy money.
Vince Carter is taking some young ambitious G-Leaguers spot who I’m certain can contribute better than him. :smh:
I like to think that Vince is more of a locker room leader. Hopefully steering the young players in the right direction and avoiding the typically pitfalls that young players fall into. This NEEDS to be his last year in the league tho.

Harden doesn't deserve shit until he plays defense. Melo got dissed in his prime because of his lack of defense, so why does Harden get a pass? There needs to be better qualifications for MVP's and other awards. Defense needs to be a damn requirement. And we need to stop using "two-way" as a way to describe players. There's 2 ends of the court and every player needs to be good at both. Most of these players ain't scoring 60 because they're busy expending energy trying to stop the other player. Not just playing passing lanes so you can have a few steals to make is "appear" like you play defense.

This is not a good take, bruh... it's factually incorrect and shows that you watch more YouTube clips of Harden vs actual games.

Harden is a good on ball defender and plays the passing lanes well. His main weakness is off ball defense and it's especially exploited when his man takes off on back cuts or runs thru multiple screens.

And to think peg any "superstar" player as a defensive juggernaut is foolish... and please don't bring up Kawhi...

Oh @M.H.C. you can read this too... but I doubt facts will change your mind as it already seems to be made up

I wouldn't go as far as calling him "elite," but the narrative that Harden doesn't play defense is just willful ignorance at this point.

There is nothing wrong with giving Carmelo Anthony Western Conference Player of the Week, even if it's just a "welcome back award"

At this past weekend's Formula One Grand Prix, a driver who finished 12th, got "driver of the day" simply because his contract is up and he's probably about to get bounced out of F1.

There is nothing wrong with giving Carmela player of the week, especially when Harden will probably win the MVP.
