There were a lot of great players, with long careers, with a whole lot of longevity and cumulative stats. Cumulative stats are valued more in baseball and soccer, than basketball.
If you play 20 seasons and score more points, have more assists, or rebounds than someone who played only 10 seasons, that does not make you a better player. Vince Carter is a good example.
The greatest players in my eyes, have multiple League MVPs, multiple Finals MVPs, winning records in the Finals as the team leader, lead the league in at least one statistical category for multiple seasons, and took over in total 4th quarters of games regularly and the big games.
There is a very short list.

Saw something that said Jimmy Butler charges Bam a rack or two for every game he plays and doesn't shoot a 3 pointer. Something similar has to happen with Simmons. The coach has to flat out bench him, pull him from the game when he passes an open shot, fine him for not shooting at least 5 threes per game, etc.

The Clippers aside from their two wins against the Lakers have been a disappointment so far. The overwhelming favorites in the preseason theyve been inconsistently sitting at 4th and 5th in the conference all year.
Everybody knows they really arent serious about winning a chip (they arent good enough) but look to play "spoilers" for the Lakers in the playoffs. The question remains can they stay healthy featuring 3 injury prone starters?
