Coach: Ben, you need to shoot one at least one jumper or three pointer a game to help the team.

Ben: Ok coach.

you REALLY think its THAT simple?

Cause actually its....

Coach, Coaching Staff, Girlfriend, Embid, teammates, NBA Veterans, ESPN, Social Media and the World: Ben, you need to shoot one at least one jumper or three pointer a game to help the team.

@HotNixon36 imagine if ya mans could shoot past 20 feet like Harden, he mightve looked this unstoppable.

He has 8 more scoring titles and 6 Finals MVPs to go, before you even start comparing him to Jordan, scoring wise. And while he is at it, do it all within 11 full seasons, not 20 seasons, then we can start the discussion.

Hit me back in 2028 or after he plays 930 games. He has played 799 games already, he has a lot of ground to cover to catch Jordan in 130 more games.

As a coach, it should be and is that simple.

All it takes is one game DNP coach’s decision for it to sink in. Yes they’re million dollar athletes, but that’s a job. If you’re not doing your job, there’s consequences.

Enter any player in the league’s name:

Coach: Random Player, we need you to shoot one jumper or 3-pointer a game.

Random Player: No problem coach!
Why is it different for Ben?

I think it is that simple. Sixers need a new voice. They not listening to Brown. And as a coach if you don't listen or buy into what I'm telling you then we're just wasting seasons here. AND MY FUCKIN TIME!!! :pain: I'd even go as far to say it's time to get rid of Ben.

There will be BLOOD and SWEAT on the court, but it won’t be Ben’s!

Unless “KLUTCH” is on my team suiting it up for the Sixers, the KLUTCH can go fuck themselves!

I’m speaking from the Sixers coach perspective.

KLUTCH should have their client shoot a 3. :dunno:

I apologize if my recommended solution is a bit too direct, but I don’t like bullshit. And coaches and teammates begging Ben to shoot the ball is bullshit.

OK lets just cut to the chase...

ready?

Is FIRING the coach gonna mean making the Finals this year?

And if NOT why fire him?

And if you fire Brown WHO gonna replace him?

And will that NEW COACH make Simmons shoot?

And then if Simmons STILL doesn't shoot, wtf you going to do then?

Do Embid and Simmons WORK together?

You want to TRADE Ben Simmons for Jdrue Holiday?

That team is a collective weirdo. As you said, Simmons can't take outside shots. In the fucking NBA in 20 fucking 20, this team as a backcourt player that can't shoot. They have Shaq Nowitzki. Is the 7-foot Dr. Jeckyll going to be 20 feet away from the basket or will he turn into Mr. Hyde and be a beast down low?

Feel for Sixers fans. They have to invest in the NBA 2k game and grab the controller just to have the players do what they should be doing. :smh:

Maybe Ben isn't a good teammate and doesn't give a fuck :dunno:

He wasn't one at LSU, so maybe shit hasn't changed.

It is obvious Jimmy didn't think much of him.

CLEVELAND — Kevin Love had an emotional verbal outburst directed toward general manager Koby Altman following shootaround on Saturday, expressing his displeasure and disgust with the organization, league sources told The Athletic.

Love was screaming in front of teammates and Cavs coaches and front-office members that there was “no feel here,” league sources said.

After the Cavs’ shootaround was over Saturday, Love posted a picture actor Joaquin Phoenix as “The Joker,” lifting his lips with his fingers to feign a smile. Love’s caption read: “Mood.”

Love was fined $1,000 by the Cavs for an outburst on the bench on Dec. 31 in Toronto, sources said, and disagreed with the fine. He was spotted by cameras slapping chairs on the Cavaliers bench away from the team huddle in the third quarter of the blowout (see video at bottom). He asked a Cavs coach to take him out of the game so he could cool down. During the next timeout, when a coach asked what was wrong, Love said he didn’t like how selfish the first unit was playing, sources said.

Saturday’s exchange between Love and Altman was not the first. At the end of last season, Love raised his voice toward the general manager and Altman threatened to fine him. Sources said they heard Love say, “Go ahead. I have plenty of money.”

It was Altman who signed Love to a four-year, $120 million extension in the summer of 2018, just after LeBron James left as a free agent. But at the time of the signing, the front office, including Altman, told Love the franchise intended to try to compete for the playoffs, rather than rebuild. And what has transpired has been two seasons of just that — a total rebuild in the wake of the LeBron era. The Cavs entered Saturday’s game with a 10-24 record.

Love, 31, is averaging 16.6 points and 10.5 boards in 29 games this season. He missed 60 games last year, mostly due to toe surgery. His absence accelerated the Cavs’ rebuild, though it was likely they would have eventually gone down that path.

Love would prefer a trade to a contender, sources said, though he has not publicly asked for one.

he is a cornerstone hell might be the BEST player and the POSITION he plays dictates the entire flow of the game.

yes you are RIGHT

a coach NEEDS to be able to create a functional system for the current players he HAS ON IT and fit it to their STRENGTHS

but to completely REMOVE a player from the game plan and them he becomes a HINDRANCE is freaking unreasonable.

See. This is exactly why the fuck NO ONE wanted to come to Cleveland in Lebron's first run. Who wants to be stuck on that team when Lebron dips? I'm a CAVS fan and understand why folks didn't want to come here.

Should have worked a Lebron clause into his contract. A player option opt-out if Lebron bounces.

I can't be mad at Love. He did everything asked of him during the finals years. Turned out to be better move than keeping Wiggins.

Brown gotta fuckin go. That's the bottom line. At this rate Sixers will get bounced 1st round. They have no fuckin business being 6th in the East. Haven't thought fully about who should replace him. I'd promote from within for this year. Again, these muthafuckas are too comfortable with what is going on. Letting Brown go now will let the beige bitch know you next pussy. Things need to be shaken up in a major way. This shit ain't working. Sixers look like pure dookie on the road. Fuck Brown. Part of this is his fault for wanting to be a friend than a coach.

I agree with all that you said, but as a coach. His job is to get his players to do what’s best for the team.

Ben not shooting is hurting the team. Sitting Ben down one quarter, one half or even one game earlier in the season for not shooting would’ve sent the message that the coach and the team are serious.

Instead, we’re on year 3/4 wondering why Ben still won’t shoot?

Nah. Reddick is too much of a defensive liability. Especially in the playoffs. Jimmy like I said didn't wanna play with soft ass niggas. He's a dog. He can't deal with people who don't wanna push to be great.

but that shooting to me is what REALLY helped with the Simmons non shooting ass and I feel it is REALLY being exposed MORE this season.

Ben runs shit in Philly.

I think they were severely hurt by Fultz, because they don't want to fuck up with another draft pick so Ben has all the power.

Don't they say he shoots with the wrong hand? Almost everything he does is with his right when he's close to the basket, but it changes when he gets past ten feet.

Have they tried to change anything?
