Could have easily traded the man this summer or just gave him an extension and traded him next season. This didn't need to be a thing if the front office handled their business during the summer
I wouldn't have extended him. He's unreliable. You just never know with this dude. Just because he's talented doesn't have you ignore the rest of the baggage with his ass.

Now you made a good point. Should have made thr decision in the off season if you weren't gonna extend him get rid of him then I agree.

I think they felt he would be in a position where he would be "forced" to be a "good solider" and do whatever they wanted because he would be desperate for that extension

they must have NOT met that man ever before

cause Kyrie don't do well with being forced into something.

and real talk?

they ARE blowing this request a little out of proportion

cacs acting like he killed someone and talking about he is an idiot etc is a little overblown.

(same ones who were loving him JUST a year ago)

I completely understand fans being angry frustrated of course

but they saying he ruining all of basketball and a bad example for youth etc etc

that's a little much.

This whole situation and reaction's weird because if I remembered correctly, the Nets were already not signing Kyrie and apparently he had an epiphany yesterday that he wanted to be traded.

Maybe to get started with his new team now instead of over the summer.

They've been telling the man for damn near 2 years that they weren't giving him a long term contract.

They didn't feel comfortable with one thing or another and the reason may or may not have been valid, that's not for me to question.

But after seeing that a long term contract wouldn't be offered he asked to be traded and I don't see the problem.

But the picture is being painted that Kyrie's the bad guy and not a team guy.

I think they did offer a long term contract but it was full of stipulations that Kyrie wouldn't agree to.

The whole thing is a mess. It's been a nothing but a mess.

Nobody escapes blame here... Harden, KD, Kyrie, the front office...

I dunno if the front office has the same level of culpability as the Kyrie here.

Honestly..how would any of yall have handled ALL of his controversies and absences?

The move hes pulling is a negotiation tactic but its one from a position of very little built up goodwill.

I really mean overall with the creation of their big 3. The front office never had control of the team. Hiring Nash really meant the players had full control, but then it's the wrong players to give the control to. Agreeing to trading Harden, but even worse trading him for Ben Simmons. Then the players you gave the power to want you fired...

I know Kyrie caused a lot of chaos and uncertainty, but the front office was incompetent from the start.

@Mack1052 Trust me buddy, you'll be better off for this. Enough is enough. Get rid of Bitch Simmons too. I'd call OKC and see if I can get some draft picks. No more flashy free agent signings. Too much of a pain in the ass. Develope homegrown talent through the draft.

How we gonna develop if we traded all of our picks for Harden?

The article says the organization is holding Kyrie from playing, not Kyrie refusing to play. The same organization (Tsai) that sidelined him from playing because of that bullshit mandate just to allow him to play 30 games into the season.

The same organization (Tsai) that made him sit for 8 games for a tweet.

The bullshit will remain even after Kyrie is gone because of the owner. You get rid of Kyrie, an all star starter and KD mans and you think KD not gonna want to dip after the season?

Just give him the extension and get rid of him next season instead of doing another bullshit trade like we did last season with Harden.

Or...

Just don't trade him, see if we can win a chip and blow the whole shit up in the off-season. Ain't no way that man ain't gonna play especially with Durant coming back soon.

Kyrie gone. They should have did it in the offseason. It's their fault. Get picks back from OKC. They have a shit load of them. You also have the Sixers pick from the Harden trade. KD is gone when his deal is up. Stop bringing in these free agents and build in the draft. Boston doesn't have these issues. That's all I'm saying. The front office is incompetent with free agents. Try another route. I like when Mike Tomlin says I want volunteers, not hostages. If you don't wanna be here (no matter how talented you are) get rid of them.

Sounds good but OKC gotta agree to it..

As a whole, nobody in the league is gonna help the Nets out of this scenario without getting over on them.

We stuck or we getting fucked

OKC might. They have a bright future. You'd have a better chance with the picks than players.
