Damn Bron get blamed for everything.

Could it be he saw that sh*t was already getting dated and him potentially losing was not worth it.

Now you know that I think things through before I post them. :giggle:

Here's Lebron in the 2003 HMcDonald's Dunk Contest.

Jason Richardson was the 2-time defending dunk contest champ in 2004 which was Lebron's first year in the league.

In short, Lebron didn't want that

Because everyone hates the Raiders. They all defending Carr and saying he got done dirty. And it was right that he didn't agree to waive the no trade so he could help them make a deal with the Saints.

I watch and read sports media

No they weren't all doing nothing...

Why was it a smart decision?

For dunkers the dunk contest was a right of passage, even in 2004.

Something happened to where it's changed.

Dude's come into the league and get moist.

At the time I hated he didn't participate.

But looking back I get it.

The constant Jordan comparisons were ridiculous

So doing that is like he copying MJ even more

Now if he wins so what?

He LOSES the fans media internet lose they mind

He doesn't participate they beg him every year.

That's the best I got.

I don't remember the MJ comparisons coming out of high school.

Lebron, Zion, Ja and I can't think of any others right now are known dunkers, so dunk.

That's all I have too.

Yeah it started early remember he was his idol, the number, the sneaker...

That young men had immense pressure put on himself for years BEFORE he even entered the league

the dunk contest has definitely lost its luster. and its definitely the stars fault.... they messed this up. now its just too much pressure. the stars don't wanna fuck up and the players that do it put everybody to sleep trying to show out. honestly after 30-40 years how many more different dunks can these guys do and still muster up enough 10s to win. i still think it can be tweaked somehow where it can be fun again.

"Under a rock"?

Nah I sleep in trees.

But yes I'm slightly tired.

Only Nuggets fans think they gonna do something in the playoffs.

I'm sorry they haven't done anything so I don't have any confidence in them to win anything.

But yes, they're having a great season so far.

A lot of franchises also “didn’t do anything” before they actually did something. Crazy how that works:eek2::rolleyes:

All I'm saying is he'll be a 3-time MVP, greatest player in the world and no

king-of-the-hill-potato-chips.gif

And it's very crazy how that works.

And I will be one pissed off muddasucka. Cuz I don’t give a damn about Jokic winning MVP. He sucks on defense and I believe to be MVP you gotta make at least some sort of impact on the defensive end. He shouldn’t have won it last year over Embiid. The same reason he won it is the exact same reason they lost and were going to lose against any team in the first round. He didn’t have any real help due to injuries. We shall see. First postseason I’m actually looking forward to since the Bubble

Respect...

Again, I have nothing but respect for Jokic, I thing he's a great player.

And again I know the MVP is an individual award but that players "Should" lead a team to post season success.

And before some asshole replies to my post saying that the MVP award is a regular season award...

Nigga I know that!

I also look forward to seeing the Nuggets in the playoffs this season fully healthy.
