He played well, but that last play the Magic ran was terrible. We're down by one and they call a play for Ingles to shoot a three?

We REALLY need to make a trade before the deadline. Our defense is great and keeps us in games but we need to be able to score. Fultz can get points but we don't have anyone under 6'10" with a reliable jumpshot.

Unpopular opinion but this shit is weak. 60 and 70 point games should not be this common and should never come in a fucking loss. But I digress. It’s entertainment I guess:dunno:
Dont let the hate from the previous era infect you son. These guys are just more talented and skilled. Gone are the days where the league literally had allotted roster slots for untalented goons and mediocre white American quota hires. Todays basketball players are just better.

And the defense is worse. Perfect recipe for bullshit

What should be the over/under on how long before someone gets 82?

The 20 year anniversary of the modern day record is in 2 years… At this rate, you have to wonder if 81’s still standing at that point.

I’d confidently bet against it lasting the decade.

Contrary opinion, the league is more talented offensively than it's ever been. Now that I seen a center score 70 against a great defensive center and a point guard drop 73 in REGULATION, a shooting guard scoring 69 in double OT just isn't special anymore.

Hell, Kobe's 81 was 9 points away from being completely forgotten.

Todays players are just so much more talented offensively than fan favorites of the past. BGOL dickeats eras were only 1 guy was good enough to score 30 a game, usually a shooting guard. Now there's like 5 guys who get 30 a night at various positions. It's called EVOLUTION. The go to now is to complain about defense because folks can't accept how offensively challenged players in the past were. They simply couldn't shoot like this. :smh:

Getting 82 points is really not that hard. A player just needs to have the 3 ball working and get to the free throw line.

If you break it down

In each quarter they would need

1.) Three 3 pointers made or at least 10 by the end of the game.

2.) Each quarter they need at minimum 5 buckets.

3.) The rest would be free throws.

The biggest factor would be to get at least 30 pts from the 3 ball and get to the free throw line. Because I think most NBA players can get 5 buckets a quarter pretty easily

Evolution is right. They evolved the rules to allow for this shit. Same way the NFL prioritizes scoring over 3-0 slugfests. More possessions, more shots, more points, neutered defense has a lot to do with this. “Offensively challenged” you say, yeah back in the day it wasn’t as easy to get away with traveling, carrying and all that shit they do now. Most players can’t even dribble without carrying. Watch the games

Right, So let’s ignore the fact that the NBA started protecting shooters so that they can have more space and get these shots off. Go the park and try to get off a 3 with somebody all in your shit vs somebody jumping at you from 20 feet away. Niggas acting like these dudes hitting nothing but contested shots.
