Nothing about his legacy is impressive anymore. He only won 4 championships (which isn't a lot according to Jordan and Kobe fans) and you're more likely to see folks downplay him to promote his co-star guards (Kobe, Wade) then talk about his 30 and 20 performances in the Finals. Doesn't help he had a sharp decline at the end and just dry hates on today's Black American players. Like most people from his generation, he underachieved.

"The most unstoppable force in NBA history" is now barely a top 10 scorer.

After spending the bulk of the 2010's adamantly explaining how LeBron James doesn't belong in the same room as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, NBA media in 2024 annoints Anthony Edwards the closest thing to MJ and likens him to Kobe and D Wade before he's even won a playoff series.

The question to be asked is why don't these comparisons trigger the Jordan stanbase, Kobe stanbase, and Wade stanbase the way Bron did? It's simple, they know this nigga aint never gone be as good as those guys, so it's no threat to their legacies to pretend that he will. That's different from the GOAT. They knew in 2003 he was gonna be the greatest ever over those guys and saw him come in with a buzz none of the others had coming in and acted accordingly.
