Tobe was 26 years old in his 8th season and had been to 4 NBA Finals already in the physical prime of his career. So he was older and more experienced than Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is now. But he couldn't get a young team with a few vets who had playoff experience into the playoffs. To put it in perspective, the sorry ass Hawks and Rockets won more than 34 games this season. Jaylen Green was more impactful this year than Tobe in his prime was without Phil and Shaq.

He averaged 27 points, 6 rebounds, 5.9 assists a game on 43% shooting. He was #3 in usage behind Jermaine O'Neal and AI. Kobe was NEVER a winning basketball player outside of the triangle with Phil coaching him. He never had a winning season with his other 9 coaches.

Okc should’ve went all in this year. This was their shot IMO. It don’t get easier from here. They will always have a good team and talent but in the NBa you may never get back.
