Agreed about the Kevin Hart deal. How you supposed to be playing hard when you got a comedian over there cracking jokes. Charles already know if this happened when he was playing he would have punched hart in his face. The second the NBA decided they were going to let Kevin Hart make fun of players while they play and stop a game to honor a TV commentating crew, the players got mad and decided it was all a joke.
The NBA made a big deal about wanting players to play hard and supposedly even had a meeting with players about playing hard...and then the leage pulls that crap? I think the players were actually mad, and some made no attempt at hiding it. And frankly I don't blame them. Don't tell me I need to respect the game for the fans, and then go make a joke of me and my peers and disrespect me so badly by letting Kevin Hart talk his trash WHILE I'M PLAYING, have endless game stoppages for non-basketball reasons, and honor a bunch of commentators who continue to trash all the players game in/game out and then tell me to play hard the 5 minutes I get to play after sitting there for 30 minutes.
Something definitely happened to push players over the edge. Lebron refused to even put his jersey on for pictures. Ant suited up and warmed up and then decided last minute he wasn't playing (and then supposedly just left the arena after his game when he had participated in everything else all weekend). SGA was very clearly unhappy with Kevin Hart's talking to him during the game and didn't even try to hide it. Several other similar observances could probably be made. I wouldn't be surprised they found out the "championship game" was being stopped to honor the Inside the NBA guys and that was the last straw for a few of them. I know they hate how those guys talk about the game. (Last year in the playoffs Ant said he would not do any more interviews with them after they kept talking shit about his teammates, particularly Rudy, out of solidarity to his team so my conspiracy theory is that is why Ant actually decided to boycott last minute).
The NBA made this year's game a joke, not the players. It was just as, if not more, disrespectful to the game and the fans than the players not playing hard. Because the leage and TNT not only disrespected the the game and the fans, they also disrespected their own players - who are the product.
I'm pretty sure that's the same chick that sued him for child support before they had a second child and got married. She's a stripper - well former.
See I think that’s why I like Silver. He listens to the players so when shit goes wrong they can’t blame nobody but themselves. He’s very player friendly unlike the NFL who can’t even get fully guaranteed contracts.
You definitely sound crazy.
McClung should’ve never been in a dunk contest outside of a gimmick. 3 time champion just discredits the contest and takes away from it being an actual NBA dunk contest.
It is like allowing fans in to compete in joes vs. pros.
With the game now being global they should have been adopted this format.
And when you play on international soil FIBA rules apply... on US soil NBA rules.
Then throw some cash on top. Winning team gets a bonus and the mvp gets their bonus matched for their favorite charity.

You already know what they are bringing out next year. Instead of the G-league players it will be a Woman's team.
Or they will have one woman on the floor at all times on each team and a woman has to touch the ball before a score to count.
Damn sure did.Oscar burried that bassed ass mouth looking nigga lol
42 minutes of actual basketball was played in the 3 hour All-Star game (Minutes Break-Down)
Previous All-Star games had at minimum 48-60 minutes of basketball being shown so it wasn't too far off, but splitting the games into different segments seemed like it ruined the overall flow of the day. Basketball seemed to be a secondary to the show-based entertainment aspect of the night.
- Intro (with ads): 30 min
- Pre-Game Talk: 10 min
- Game 1 (Kenny vs Chuck): 12 min total (10:07 of actual game time)
- Mr. Beast Challenge: 5 min
- Game 2: (Shaq vs Rising Stars): 16 min total (12:54 of actual game time)
- Music Performance: 6 min
- Inside the NBA Tribute: 9 min
- Game 3: (Chuck vs Shaq): 14 min total (10:40 of actual game time)
- Post-Game: 6 min
- Analyst Desk/Game Intros/Segments (total): 22 min
- Ads (total): 80 min
FYI, I am counting stoppages on the court and free throws as basketball being played. 42 minutes reflects the overall amount of time they showed basketball on TV, if you want to go strictly on game time it is 33 minutes of play
The best dunker I’ve seen at the NBA level was James ‘Flight’ White. He didn’t get a chance to participate until he made the NBA long enough to compete unlike DEI McClung.I enjoy him participating because its devalued the event. Michael Jordan's 2 dunk contest wins dont mean shit anymore.![]()
"Dude sounds like a moron"Dude sounds like a moron. Draymond is a DPOY and first ballot hall of famer.

why is the NBA all star game so closely scrutinized/critized by reporters, Podcasters and fans.....the nfl is a flag football game, baseball is a snore fest, hockey doesnt exist......
"In May 2022, Commissioner Roger Goodell questioned the future of the Pro Bowl, arguing that it "doesn't work", and that "another way to celebrate the players" was needed. On September 26, 2022, it was announced that the NFL would host the 2023 event as "The Pro Bowl Games"—in partnership with Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions—which will replace the culminating event with a flag football game."why is the NBA all star game so closely scrutinized/critized by reporters, Podcasters and fans.....the nfl is a flag football game, baseball is a snore fest, hockey doesnt exist......
Bomani been on this for years revisiting this dead topic
Kevin durant is a top 75 player
The bay loves him and his time here
Steph Curry was the player being doubled and tripled while Kevin was on the court. That is why it was unfair. Kevin durant vs single coverage at every point equals unfair advantage.
Replacing who gets the wide open space with Kevin durant is the game breaker we enjoyed and appreciated but make no mistake teams lived with Kevin durant doing whatever he wanted if it meant Steph was accounted for.
Don't take my word for it
"You've got to remember, in 2017 and 2018 we blitzed him with Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson on the floor. That's how dangerous I think he is. "![]()
Ty Lue Admits He Trapped Steph Curry Over Kevin Durant in NBA Finals
Ty Lue has a very specific way of facing the Golden State Warriors.www.si.com
Kevin left believing he could just make another "hov"
He did it with the guy who was supposedly just as good in Kyrie and the guy he had beaten in harden
They ain't make the finals
Steph won another ring with the remnants of klay
Wiggins playing the best he's ever played to the tune of 19ppg and 8 rebounds
Mr wizard Jordan Poole ( who benefitted from the single coverage and no pressure)
While making people believe in Otto porter Jr and
Nemanja Bjelica who retired after winning this ring
After 1 game Jimmy Butler was relieved at how easy the game is
Meanwhile kd is with prime booker and another former Steph comparative in beal and what they doing?
If you want to say Kevin was the best player on those teams awesome
History will remember who the best player and best career was and it's not even close
Not even a THING

I like the all-snub idea, almost all-stars.
