Official 2025 NFL Off Season Discussion!!!

The funny thing is what’s going on with shedeur is what I thought could have happened to Caleb last yr.. in fact I made reference to it last yr b4 the draft.. I said it was more about power than race.. when Caleb was talking about he should get percentages of the team money I said the owners would fuck around and show Caleb who’s boss and not draft him. Basically saying there is no man bigger than the game and the owners showing the athletes that even though they are the product and the ones who generate the money it’s the owners that run things and to show the athletes it’s a “privilege “ to play for the nfl.. I’m wondering is this what they doing To sheuder.. if they are it’s crazy that I was wrong about the player and yr but right that they would actually do something like this

Caleb had the athletic abilities that Sanders does not have.....The days of a non mobile QB are over. Teams don't want that anymore...If he was 6'4 and 230lbs and was mobile, he would have gone #1....

Ward had the arm, Dart has the rushing ability, and the dude New Orleans has the big size Kellen Moore wanted (similiar to Justin Herbert when he was the OC in San Diego)

I believe Sanders is dealing with not having the athletic traits coaches and teams are looking for. Solid football IQ, but lacks the size and speed of what these coaches want....

It reminds me of when Russell Wilson came out. They said he was small and would have to play like Drew Brees if he ever wanted to eventually become a starter...

Bro, you hit the nail on the head. That shit is so sad.

Shedeur is one player, one story in a draft full of so many.

Deion made this draft more about him instead of letting his son be his own man.

I saw plenty of young brothers who were drafted whose fathers were there quiet letting their kids have the spotlight.

Yeah, Deion is a legend, a Hall of Famer, and college coach, but this was supposed to be his son's moment and him being so vocal about his son's prospective football future came back to bite them.
Hey like I said earlier this might be the nfl reminding players no one is bigger than the game.. there was an nfl b4 you and there will be an nfl after you.. know that it’s a “privilege “ to be a part of this.. now we gonna show you what it’s like if we don’t let you in.. are you humble yet or must we show you more.

yep this really might be a show of power

If that's the case, teams wouldn't be signing older players like russell who is less mobile compared to when he was younger having the speed to scramble getting out the pocket.

Also, rodgers could soon be on another team and he's not mobile as well.

So, saying that about shedeur is crazy especially when a team would draft a non athletic CAC QB who isn't mobile.

Foles wasn't mobile but my eagles won the superbowl with him after wentz was out for the rest of the season who was mobile.

That's why people believe sanders situation is a race issue and them punishing him for what him and his father said.

Your correct on this. Sometimes the media doesn't do these guys any favors. Mel Kiper Jr, Ryan Clarke and the rest of the ESPN crew certainly hasn't done and favors for Sanders at all. To this point I wouldn't be shocked if he went undrafted.

Shadeur might not get picked.

Just have an odd feeling that teams are going to pass on him.

Basically trying to knock him down a peg and have him come in as an undrafted player.

Seems like that's what's gonna happen.

But if he does indeed go undrafted, hopefully a team gives him a shot.

He'll have to be a back up to learn under another vet.

Russ and Rodgers are one and done QBs. They are not the future...Teams are not building around them....Almost like a bridge QB until they can find the QB of the future....

I think it's crazy also, but coaches are drafting players they feel fit their scheme....McShay explianed this well regarding the dude going to New Orleaans..Kellen Moore was a below avg. QB that had a decent football IQ, but did not have the physically traits....When he drafts a QB, he is looking for someone that has those physically traits on top of the football IQ...He coached Dak, Justin Herbert, and Jalen Hurts...All mobile QB with size....

I think people need to understand that NFL stands for Not For Long and these coaches/GM's have families too so they are going to draft players that puts the team in the best situation and gives them the best chance to keep their jobs.....

Dart had almost 500 rushing yards last year
Ward has the arm strength and size teams are looking for

I can't give a reason for the dude going to New Orleans, but I have to assume Kellen Moore liked his size and I do believe he is somewhat mobile as well....

Foles won the Super Bowl 7 years ago....The league is not looking for non mobile QBs anymore....

I will keep saying IMO if Sanders was mobile and 6'4 he would have gone as the #1 or #2 QB in this draft.....Every QB that has been drafted has way more rushing stats than Shadeur...

I'm not saying he isn't going to sign with an NFL team as an UFA, but do you think Shedeur would go to the CFL and if he did, do you think he'll do well there? The CFL is a faster league.

I really can't wait until the NFL season starts because I really want to see how good these players are in the NFL that got drafted ahead of sanders.

Everything you said is facts, I won't debate that.

But it's just crazy that out of all 32 teams no one thinks sanders deserves a shot is crazy to me.

Yeah, NFL is a short career, most players don't last long because of multiple injures during their career.

I guess Jayden Daniels put the league on notice with his success that every team is now trying to do the same thing drafting a similar player.

I have to give you props @CurtDawg...You called it regarding Shadeur....You said he add average size and arm strength.....

I still thought he would have been drafted by now, but I guess the physically tools teams are looking for are not what these teams are looking for....

And its also about Deion Sanders
Deion is too controlling of a person
And has rubbed a lot of teams the wrong way
Bruh is too much of a distraction
Teams don't want to put up with the eventual media circus
And unfortunately, Shedeurs talent doesn't trump over Deion's bullshit

Man I don't even know about the CFL because I think a team is going to sign him....He was accurate as hell in college and most evaluators agree his ball placement is excellent....

He just needs to go into camp and make whatever team drafts him fall in love and make it hard for the coaching staff to bench him or go somewhere that has a solid vet...

Fam, is there any truth to this? :dunno:
Honestly this is my first time hearing about the Giants interview going bad for him

Heard that rumor last night about bad interview with gmen and they said it was like that with a few teams.. seems like people claiming he not hungry, more or less like people should be happy to be in his presence not visa versa, lot of demands, etc.. this is alleged

Exactly, but if he was the size of Lamar or Josh Allen, teams would overlook all of that outside BS because the athletic abilities would be worth it.....

Right or Wrong it is what it is...

McShay talked about his....Interview wasn't the best, but I think what hit the nail in the coffin was they gave him an install package and he wasn't prepared....

On a recent episode of “The McShay Show,” McShay revealed the details of a concerning pre-draft incident Sanders had with New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll. quarterback Shedeur Sanders

Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images
“Shedeur is not in play at 3; Shedeur is not in play with the New York Giants as far as I’m told,” McShay said. “Shedeur didn’t have a great interview with Brian Daboll in a private visit. An install package came in, preparation wasn’t there for it, he got called out on it, he didn’t like that. Brian didn’t appreciate him not liking it.

“I was surprised it wasn’t talked about that Shedeur Sanders — if you’ve been following the show, from the beginning — I told you there were two personnel people that I spoke to that were in the room during interviews…two teams drafting in the top 10 with quarterback needs, and the interviews did not go well.

“Not disrespectful, nothing harsh, just felt like…the phrase I’ve been using that aptly describes it — we didn’t get the sense that Shedeur cared all that much about what we thought of him.”

Several scouts maintained leading up to the draft that Sanders wasn’t a first-round talent, and several analysts like McShay kept reporting based on the NFL personnel people they spoke to that the league wasn’t as high on Sanders as the media was.

Despite the frustration of waiting way longer than he likely expected, Sanders appears to be in good spirits as he waits to see where he ends up.

“Another day another opportunity to get a chance to play the game I love. Thank you GOD #LEGENDARY,” Sanders posted on X Saturday morning.
