Yeah. The last knockdown saved him for sure. I thought they might even give him the split decision. He got outboxed but Wilder had him hurt. Wilder needs to learn how to box.

Been saying this since forever. Breland has done little to nothing in elevating Wilder's technique. Punches, footwork, and defense are still sloppy.

I think Fury hangs up the gloves after this. If so, Wilder would be smart in bringing him in as a trainer/cornerman.

AJ is made for Wilder. But y'all will see. Now Tyson Fury will probably take Wilder to school unless he works on some things. But even then it only takes one shot.

I know this sport, man
Wilder lost but....the money is in the rematch
Fury will school him again unless he gets new training
all that body mass on fury and he just head hunts
break down the big man, fool

Wilder's punch accuracy is so fuckin inefficient, mostbof his energy is spent on missed punches. Fury wasn't exactly using prime Mike Tyson head movement out there, but most of Wilder's punches went over his crouched back. Not an uppercut to save his life.

Facts. I think Wilder knows he lost this fight and that's why he's clamoring more than the challenger for the rematch. He's the one who has something to prove, not Fury. Joshua won tonight. Neither fighter made a strong case for why they should be Joshua's next bout.

Bull shit score cards but the fight was very entertaining props to both fighters. Fury camp did an excellent job prepping for this fight. Wilder needs to get a new trainer ASAP.

Wilder will kill AJ
remember styles make fights
AJ definitely isnt beating Fury either
I said all along AJ would whip Wilder ass this just confirms it

I understand what u saying about style makes fights but Wilder never showed he had any skills just knocked out trash ass heavyweights that didn't have skills either. I like Wilder because of his personality n let's be real because he's black but I knew as soon as he went against somebody with alil skill this would happen just imagine if Fury was an active fighter and lil younger.

Listen to me again. AJ doesnt last 5 rounds with Wilder. It's a reason why he's scared. Yall keep talking like fury is a bum. Read this thread from the beginning, all of the diehards new he was too skilled for Wilder OR AJ. But what Fury does well, Aj doesnt. Aj isnt slick. AJ doesnt move. AJ isnt light on his feet. Plus Aj gasses. It's a reason why AJ turned down 50 million. Imo wilder lost last night but he impressed the hell out of me too. Dude needs his Emmanuel Stewart. Right now he doesnt have it

I agree with this. Wilder needs better skill set and training. I’m curious about the level of competition he had in the past, but this was his time to shine and he didn’t. Europe has been building effective heavyweights with better sparring, but that’s something we don’t see too much in the states. If Fury would have connected with some of those harder punches, Wilder would have easily gone down. Fury wins the next fight, if Wilder doesn’t get his shit together.

I don’t know if this has been said, but you can tell Tyson Fury studied Muhammad Ali. His head movement mimics Ali’s. He tries to do the footwork and antics and he pulls it off slightly. Wilder being only a one trick pony he couldn’t really hurt Fury even when he knocked him down. I have never seen a heavyweight that boxed in the Olympics and medal box so inefficiently. I don’t know if he can change overnight, but he needs to learn how to break an opponent down and then go for the headshots. Wilder needs to get a new trainer and fight someone else before he climbs back in the ring with Fury.

I didn't want to mention this, but you can see the obvious influence. Especially in his jab and straight rights.
