Naw. Danny is one of the hardest hitters in the Division. He commits damn near every time he throws a non-jab. No one ever talks about Porter’s punching power. He is definitely strong and durable, but a power puncher he is not.
Spence took those punches well.

I am looking forward to it, Pulev got 1 of the better jabs in the HW division and even at 39 yrs old now is still a top 10 HW imo, will see how AJ looks after long layoff from Ruiz 2. Also wanna see the Bakole vs Kuzmin fight on the undercard

You should go back one year to the Charlo/Harrison rematch and look at all the comments after they aired Errol’s first interview post accident.
I’ll be honest, after that interview, I didnt think he was coming back. He was slurring his words bad. I guess it really was dental work.
Unfortunately Danny will become a gatekeeper. I don't see anyone else he could beat at 147 although he eliminated Crawford in the Olympic Trials. Pacquiao could pick him and that could become a good paycheck for him. He probably could move back down and become undisputed in 140.
I heard he can't make 140 anymore, if he can make 140 tho I think a big money fight could be him vs Teofimo, imagine the build up with Teo Sr. and Angel going at each other. I doubt he'll get the Manny payday at this point

Pacquiao wants to fight Spence so that leaves out Terrence Crawford who recently said the fight he wanted most was Pacquiao. Crawford's mandatory is Shawn Porter who he doesn't seem to want to fight for whatever reason. If he doesn't fight Porter, the calling out Spence strategy (which Top Ranks partner ESPN is actively promoting) falls flat on its face. After all, what better way to force PBCs hand than to whip Shawn Porter's ass? Spence fought Porter so why won't you?
Bob Arum came out and dissed him. This is years after Arum couldn't or wouldn't make the Pacquiao fight for Crawford. Arum said why can't Bud promote himself like Mayweather did forgetting that Mayweather had to leave his ass to become a superstar.
So what is Bud's next move? He isn't getting any younger. Seems like PBC is the only logical choice for Bud to get those big money fights.

Bud would most likely lose to Porter. Porter on your ass like a cheap suit all night long. He not getting Pacquiao because Pac doesn't want to A. negotiate with Arum and B. come up off his 20 million asking price. Arum doesn't want to make the Porter fight because Bud may lose and it's not a big money fight for Arum to cash out on. Crawford coming off scared to me. Won't fight Porter, turned down Thurman, fuck u wanna do!!??
Bud backed himself into a corner...I dont necessarily agree that he can't beat Porter but Porter does force you to fight his fight and stylistically its not the best fit for Bud...Porter and Bud indicating his preference for Pacquiao fucked up the Spence shaming strategy...wonder if he can go to PBC and wait for the winner of Spence - Pacquiao?....but Porter is his mandatory and I am not sure he can wait Porter out
I doubt anyone of is truly scared of anyone. It's a money and power game. Bud doesn't realize he isn't worth his asking price (60-40,) and Arum isn't going to negotiate with any PBC fighters.
As far as Bud losing to Porter. I can't see it. Porter doesn't have the skillset. Porter's at his best when he can maul and bully guys, but Bud is just as strong, and has the stiffer/harder punches. I'd say Bud is as strong as anyone at 147. Brook laid the blueprint on how to beat Porter years ago and Thurman followed it up. Move, box, and tie him up.
I hate triangle theories in boxing, but Brook figured out, and neutralized Porter easily in their match. Yet Brook showed he had zero answers once Bud switched to southpaw. It'll probably be an ugly (Porter) type of fight, but I see Porter losing the UD a la the Thurman fight.
