Second tier Hearns, Haggler, Duran, Mickey Ward( Sheer Heart) Lennox Lewis, De La Hoya, Andre Ward, Gatti ( See Ward) and someone who to this day I think got robbed my the last two is Pernell Whitaker and the person who robbed him Julio Cesaer Chavez[\B]. Also, I almost forgot Roy Jones Junior as well.

A. This shit still gets me heated to this day

B. Don't forget he got robbed against Oscar DLH as well

It's

its funny you think that but you can't name 5 legit fighters on his 49-0 resume. He dodged A few legit fighters and left boxing before facing a legitimate prime threat. Not saying he wasn't good but he's GGG a guy with a great record and no names on his resume.
How do we know they werent legit. Did we see them fight. Realistically Mike Tyson is the Oscar De La Hoya of the heavyweight division. What truly top fighters did he beat? When he stepped up he got beat and he had some really embarrassing losses to low-level Fighters, however, hardly anyone disputes his place on the list. The issue with Marciano starts and ends with color. That's why there's so much aggression to discredit his career and so much aggression to defend Tysons.

I have to catch up on my boxing. Last night, thanks to DVR, I watch that James Degale fight.

I'm a fan of the Dirrell Brothers, but I never got a chance to see that fight he had with Andre. After watching, I see why he put him square on the canvas.

He can thank his dad for those boxing skills.

Interesting, Watching Whitiker vs JCC SR was my first live fight with my step dad in San Antonio. If JCC had lost that fight, their WOULD have been a riot that night.

I don't have Tyson is my top 50. I loved watching him fight and he was exciting but after Cus died his skill and preparation fell off. If Cus never died I believe Mike would've had a better career.

No Rocky fought bums his entire career you can look at the win loss records of all his opponents and its ass. He wasn't a bum by any stretch but he never truly fought anyone in their prime that was any good. He retired right before he got exposed. He's Calzaghe a really good fighter that didn't fight quality fighters until the end of their careers. With the exception of Kessler. He was legit.

Who is your top 10 Bruh?

As far as you not having Tyson in your top 10, cool... my point wasn't your top 1o it was the fact that the ONLY name you tripped on in Dudes top 10 was Marchiano? SO, tell me, why didn't you include Tyson in your rant too then?

..and FYI, evaluating a fighter strictly off of googled won/loss records is not very bright! If you are a real boxing fan, you know how many fighters pad their records on lesser fighters, come in with a 20-0 record but only fought bums!? Or fighters, who were good fighters, but were victims of bad decisions, etc?!?! Really?

As far as Calzaghe, he was an excellent skilled fighter, who beat everybody, and if you want to discredit him on the 'age' of the fighters he fought, then don't give none of the fighters he fought props for what they did after he fought them. B Hop for instance, went on to achieve a lot of historical wins, AFTER he fought Calzaghe, so are those achievements lessened?

...anyway, what is your top 10 Bruh?

My grandfather and great uncle did. They were at the old Garden @ the first La Starza fight with that BS split decision. My grandfather liked the Rock. My great uncle? Not so much. "He got out at the right time. He know those asswhupins where on their way from the up and coming guys." Heck, my grandfather even remembers seeing him in Fayetteville, NC playing baseball. It's not like his fights, especially during his short title reign, weren't televised. I have Rock at 8 or 9 in top 10 heavys based on one fight alone with that being the second Charles fight. 99.9% of boxers would have said, "Fuck that shit!". If you've never seen it or don't know what I'm talking about, when you see it, you'll understand. A Bernie Mac Shazam!

Tyson? Had the skills, but wilted upstairs if his opponent didn't. Most money betting on fights I've ever made is betting against Tyson. So if Mike had a legitimate challenge and I heard, "Mike's from the streets! He can't be beat!" from the drug dealers, I heard "cha-ching". The first fight vs. Holyfield and the fight vs. Lewis were great days for me. Left leaving the neighborhood bootlegger (Holyfield I) and Darlington Dragway (Lewis) with fat pockets. My friends who trusted me and placed bets with me?

Them: "How did you know?
Me: "He's a front-runner. If they face any adversity, they fall apart . . . even to less talented guys*." I put Mike around 14 or 15 due to him being the youngest heavy champ and unifying.

* = Frans Botha was whuppin' Mike's ass until Mike landed the best shot of his career in the 5th.

All due respect Dude, I got a headache trying to decipher this shit...

Not if they not fighting each other
These cats on this "the fight has to build up" bullshit. I'm basing this off of a recent 'Keiff' Thurman's interviews every time they mention Errol Spence to him. His reasoning is, he didn't get Floyd when he called him out before he had a belt so why should he give Errol Spence a chance, just cause his name is buzzing? I see where they're coming from from a business standpoint but the fans are losing.

With the Porter-Thurman match and the potential matches to follow, there's some talk of doing a Welterweight version of a super 6 like tournament because its like 6+ guys who have a media buzz right now: Thurman, Porter, Garcia, Brook, Khan, Spence, Vargas and you can throw in Broner since he said his next fight is going to be at 147.

Al make it happen.

Nah, don't throw Broner in. One, dude is a bum, two, with his legal issues you will need to find a replacement for him or be concerned he will have a court date or some shit that can fuck up scheduling... He not worth the headache...
