Former world champion Zab Judah is now a trained nurse working with dementia patients despite returning to boxing from a four-year hiatus earlier this year.

The 40 year-old has completed a course with Excelling Nursing Academy and now helps primarily elderly patients, according to director Teberah Alexander who spoke with TMZ Sports.

Judah himself is embracing his work and is reaping the rewards that come with devoting some of his time to helping others.

During his long career, Judah claimed the world super-lightweight crown on four separate occasions, unifying the division in 2005 at the height of his tenure.

A year later, Judah went up against Floyd Mayweather in bad-blooded affair before losing out on points to the world's number one fighter.

'Super' Judah initially retired in 2013 before returning in January 2017 to knock out Jorge Luis Munguia in two rounds at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton.

In May of this year, Judah escaped prison on a domestic violence charge and is yet to announce if he will launch another attempt to secure a fight in 2018.

Rigo jumped up 2 weight classes, is much older and been pretty inactive...its a bad recipe....bad advantages to give up against a talented dude like Loma...I don't like the fight for Rigo but I know why he took it and hope he pulls it out...2 of the greatest amateur boxers of all time and 2 current pound for pound dudes

Yep... As much as I love Lomachenko, and feel he's #1 PFP, this fight is a fight that I believe he can lose, and its a legacy killer. Rigodeaux may have been inactive, but he's one of the most skilled and uniquely talented fighters every, who will not be swayed by Lomachenko's style.

THIS fight, is a boxing purists dream fight... Can't wait, we are going to see some of the most beautiful technical boxing most of us has seen in a long time. Appreciative of both fighters giving us this fight, instead of avoiding it on some political or sanctioning body bullshit a lot of other big name fighters have done.

A fight fans dream!
