I caught the match late, but seeing Sandro, Kaboul, and Adebayor in there....

Easy to see why it was a rout. :smh:

Another loss for Barca. It's not going so well without Messi at the moment, but offense isn't the only problem at the moment.

What is going on with this team. I know defense is an issue but its like without Messi the offense is lost. I would say that he isn't basically the team but damn what the rest of these guys doing up front? :smh:

group of death. they will be lucky if they come 3rd in it :smh

Spain with am easy ass draw, this England/Italy/Uruguay/Costa Rica group seems interesting.

After the initial shock, I like our chances of getting out. We beat an arguably better Portuguese side in previous World Cup meetings, and I've think we've got Ghana's number now, albeit a slim one, but getting 4 PTS is very possible for this US team.

I think we'll surprise some folks,

DJC I will give it to you because you follow the US Men's more closely than I do but I can't say I like our chances. Yes Portugal isn't all that great but I just don't feel confident about US in this group.

I'm just skeptical about our defense against Ghana or Port. But I'll be pulling for them.

They won today in Copa del Rey after being down for the majority of the 1st half. Pedro was the best player today, and I think Dongou scored his first official goal with the first team.

Oh trust me, I don't like them AT ALL either, but this is the type of shit this country loves dealing with, and we've made some really powerful strides going forward as far a technical quality goes, so I trust JK will have our guys firing by June.

The story lines in Group G however are writing themselves. A top team in Germany, and top player in Cristiano, and some serious revenge factors with Ghana. Can't ask for more.

The friendlies from here on out are going to be extremely telling, so expect Klinsy to call in everybody and they momma from now to June 2014.

i never look at friendlies. those games are misleading. i think usa and ghana will be draw tho. i hope that ghana comes in second. ghana has a revenge factor with germany too.

Whilst I understand the premise, the timing of them do matter. Please believe that the international friendlies going forward will not be misleading. They'll be all too telling.

Dongou, Eto'o's disciple

The seeds planted by Samuel Eto'o in Barcelona when he signed a collaborative agreement between the 'Azulgrana' outfit and his foundation are beginning to bear fruit. Jean Marie Dongou is a prime example of this. The striker, who has already played for the Cameroon national team, arrived in Barcelona in 2008 thanks to the one of the best strikers in Barça's history.

He made his official debut at the age of just 18, making him the first African player to progress through the Barcelona academy's ranks all the way to the first team, and he scored a goal to boot. "I hope the gaffer was happy with my performance," he remarked in Cartagena. This was Tata's reward for making a commitment to his promising youngsters. Gerardo Martino has given three academy players their debuts in the last two weeks: Dongou, Patric and Adama Traoré.
