Some of you niggas complain about anything thing. Ain't nothing the way you want it. FOH! The show was ok for a pilot. I expect the show to pick up toward the end of the season to push it to season 2.

the problem with this is, if they don't shape it up, if the views don't match the budget it won't make it and we'll be talking about how it was cut too soon...like majority of the shows we're into.

The little final scene with the car was cheesy as hell.

Ummm,
Actually; the flying car aspect has long been a major part of the whole "Nick Fury Agent of Shield" concept and storyline.

It was prominently featured in Strange Tales #135 (Aug. 1965). This issue re-introduced Nick Fury to the world as a super spy. (Along with the Helicarrier & the LMD's)

As for this pilot episode; I think it was pretty good. It had the right blend of movie tie-ins to go along with a new storyline. I'm glad it did so well in the ratings and I eagerly look forward to the next episode...:)

(And yes; I too, hope they will cast more black people in future episodes as well...) ;)

figures that since this is a "real world" take on SHIELD that they wouldnt have them looking like how the agents do in the comics

If the story was just slow or seemed a little off from the original source, that's one thing, but I don't think there's any time to give it. It's just too corny and cliche with a lot of poor acting imo. Things like that don't really just change. The direction they've taken has been set and I already know it's just not for me or what I wanna see.

I watcehd that shit and the whole time I was watching it I was like "Wait until niggas on BGOL see this shit.....they gonna be complaining like a muthafucka..."

I thought it was a decent show but i'm a little dissapointed it wasn't more original. Shit was basically a "light" Heroes except without the IMO dope characters and their powers.

I'm not a comic head at ALL so i'm judging basically as a tv show viewer so in that aspect.....I felt just like that chic above in that video said.....shit didn't feel like Marvel Universe it felt like we were watching the ABC universe with its characters.

They could've came harder for a pilot. I knew the shit wouldn't have much ties to the movie Marvel universe....

Joss Whedon shows be doper than this.....

but i'm not a fan of the Iron Man and Avengers franchises which is why I thought I didn't care much for the show. DC shows are far easier to translate to television.

damn...

see I (& DISNEY) appreciate your opinion MORE specifically because you aren't into comics like that. Because if they don't get YOU as a viewing regular?

they are in BIG trouble.

Yea and you know I may be in the minority on that I don't know but I felt like that's going to be the downfall of the show. Especially with stuff like this. You aren't gonna get the comic heads......they are going to tune out. But strictly as a television watcher? We've come to far for this shit man.

Maybe I came in with too much of a high standard. I thought this shit was gonna revolutionize TV? I mean we're in the era of tv shows like Breaking Bad, The Wire, Soprano's, Boardwalk Empire, Walking Dead. Television has come so far and changed so much and I felt like this was gonna be a new start for network television because it had so much potential but man this shit is the same ol' shit we've been seeing.

And IMO this ain't got SHIT on Heroes. I'm just not with that silly and outdated format of television where there's a new case every episode.

as i said lol

and i know comics some but im by no means a comic head.

i just know good tv when i see it.

that episode to me was too "bright" it's like a tween show, and tween shows aren't good. and as far as the budget goes they don't even need huge amounts of cgi to be effective.

the shows need to be intense, comic relief is ok but it almost felt like they damn near wanted to add a laugh track

people enjoy extremely funny

or super intense and involving.

this tried to be tween and i don't know if ppl can pull that off. i think be intense have multiple story arc episodes and sprinkle in comedy from specific characters.

Yea I must've missed your post but I agree. It came off like some Smallville type shit man and we came too far for that. We don't need that. Not now.

And even the actors man....soon as I seen that chic hacker and that white guy man they look straight out of Young and the Restless.....get more credible actors but they are going for a look. And the hacker chic is sexy don't get me wrong but this type of show ain't for her....

the thing is Bills that is/was Joss's TALENT!!!

Balancing all those emotions on screen...being funny then intense and even scary.

The show looks so big and bright and shiny...and that can be a good thing but I didnt feel ANY danger at all absolutely no risk.

Except for Coulson.

I have a ton of questions are they targeting a younger audience especially at 8 pm???

Are they REALLY not going to have any people of color on the main cast?

Is every episode going to be self contained?

I hate to say this but I think they should have waited a year...and make a more DIRECT link to the Marvel movie universe even leaving a plot line open and close it on the show...

I am trying very hard not to be overly critical based on one episode and having some really good people involved in the show.

This premiere episode felt A LOT like the first ep. of Dollhouse to me.

http://www.bgol.us/board/showthread.php?t=756904

Everyone has their theories on why it failed. I thought that writers strike killed it. Shit it killed a lot of shows. Heroes was some of the best television on TV those first 2 seasons. Some people blamed its demise on the whole "cheerleader" shit. Some blamed it on softening up Sylar. For me when they took all their powers over some eclipse shit? Straight ruined it.

I think fans kept expecting a certain end game and expected it to be more like a Marvel universe when the writers never had that in mind. Heroes was a very solid show to me though. I wish someone would give that type of show a go again.

im not tripping at the look of the cast just the way they're out there. the hacker chick is a genius but breezy airhead fun loving... that's not consistent with someone intent on exposing super heroes and the government..

and the other main agent he recruited, he's too soft, as of the 1st episode, he needs to be more harvey from suits personality, if he's the best in is field and usually works alone he should look at everybody else as beneath him..that's consistent with his job description.

everyone else i have no problem with personality wise on the show.
i mean the twins had a couple hours to come up with the cure, we didn't see them come up with it or rush to where the standoff was or nothing. lol

tried to do too much. spread itself too thin and the writers ideas weren't good

either because they ran out of them or because they were so successful they figured we can do what we want and they couldn't

The day of the bubblegum show is over imo.

You can't have a bubblegum drama. this show is a drama, there can be funny moments in dramas but overall you should be involved.

im not saying it won't happen, just the first episode didn't do a good job of immediately liking or disliking the characters. and that's ultimately why people watch shows, cause of either love or hate for specific people on the show. if they're meh about everyone, it won't impact you if something happens.

I don't think they want a direct link to the Marvel movie universe though. I think they want this to be the television show and it has no connection to the movie series aside from Coulson who i'm not even sure if he will be in the movie series or not anymore. We will never see Nick Fury or Tony Starks on here so why do this show? Not because you won't feature them but because you don't have any links to the movie universe? That's why I said I feel like yea they are trying to cater to a younger audience. To a potential demo they don't have yet or want to build on.
