You know I think he might shock us all, but I also can see it going the other way but I like this guy thoughts on him:

It seems like he'll be a good role player who can come off the bench and be a shooter/scorer. That said, he's not going to have as long of a leash to shoot at will and he won't be posting up guards that easily in the Pac 12 and with big men roaming around. The top 2 players in the nation are both going to the Pac 12 a PF in Michael Porter and a 7 foot tall center D'Andre Ayton is going to Washington.
Hell UCLA is still recruiting a SG in MJ Walker from Georgia. Not sure if it'll happen since they 6 kids committed already.

This will not stop Lonzo from going top 5. Also I think what makes his kids very good is he taught them how to be very confident. Lonzo shot not falling early does not impact the other parts of his game at all like you see with other players. He still gonna get his assist, rebounds, and play D. Also can't recall Lonzo having two bad halves kid usually comes out better after struggling early.
I agree, dude will be drafted in the top 5.

Shit is stupid, this is nowhere near as big of a deal as the media is making it out to be.

If he feels that way about his son then so the fuck what even if it is crazy.
true. I feel similar about my son...but he is my son, so i am supposed to be his biggest fan. they are making something out of nothing

No they aren't bruh... There is a difference between feeling supremely confident in your kid and dropping names and adding undue pressure on him, while moving yourself to the front lines and using your kids potential celebrity to make a name for yourself. Who the fuck knew who his father was before this bullshit!?!?!

Not coming at you, but without googling, tell me Ben Simmons Dads name, Markelle Fultz Dads name, Malik Monk dad's name? Michael Porter's dads name? Dennis smith, Jr. dads name (joke ), but You feel me?

This shit isn't about hyping his kid, this shit is about hyping himself at his kids expense. When the parent becomes more of the story than the actually player earning his rep on the court, it is definitely a problem...

Man that dude is trying to boost the buzz around his sons. plus he is confident in them. Saying he will be better than steph is not so far fetched. He will prolly never have steph's shot, but i can name 10 guards (active) that are better than steph. If the media gives him the platform to make a name for himself, then why not? At least he is going down swinging on his kids nuts (not gay because they came outta his nuts). its just basketball...when O makes it to high school, I might make a bold statement. I know how many hours and how much money I am spending on his development (just like their dad). He has the right to make a gaff here and there.

Now, i am pretty sure i will not do things like that to O because that is not my demeanor.

His son doesn't need him to increase his buzz... His son was already on board to be a high lottery pick before he started attention whoring and to say an 18 year old kid who has played 20 college games at the time is better than a 2 time MVP and a world champion is far fetched as hell.

He's making shit tough on his sone, who now has to deal with the unnecessary pressure created by his father trying to make a name for HIMSELF and ultimately even if his son plays realitively well but doesn't reach the lofty levels his dad projects he will ultimately be viewed as a failure...

Like I said, having confidence in your kid doesn't mean you need to attach names and make dumb ass statements. His son is a talent but he plays against boys and has a lot to learn. I will be extremely confident in my son when he reaches that level too, instill that confidence in him and teach him no one is better than him but I won't make his situation about me or piggy back on any notoriety he may gain for my own agenda. That's some pathetic weak shit IMO...

Damn!! Dad, this aint about you!! Sit back and watch your kid!! Which team going to want to deal with the ole man?? Its all bread and circuses anyway!!

To a lesser extent that what the fuck happened to KJ McDaniels which is why teams don't want to fuck with him and the id has talent. His Moms had a big fucking mouth too...

Gave his gunning ass that work....

LiAngelo Ball (9-for-32) and LaMelo Ball (8-for-33) combined to shoot just 26.2 percent from the field, including 13-for-46 for 3-point range. :smh:
Thats how the team plays though, yeah they shot terrible, but Lonzo had bad shooting games in his Chino Hills game too, they will not shoot that much in College just like Lonzo doesn't UCLA don't run that type of system

Nothing he said surprises me. If any of you coach AAU you know exactly what I'm talking about. He just had a Camera and microphone in his face.

He seems like a cool dude though. You can tell he had a plan for his boys.

I'm torn on this one Bc as black men they NEVER show our fathers at all. So he's a father who has 3 sons who will at least get the opportunity to play college ball and most likely a shot at pro being over zealous about his children. Now Archie Manning got Eli traded from the Chargers to the Giants and nobody said stay out your sons business?!? The world works on nepotism so a father hyping his son shouldn't be a problem. Did he over step his bounds by saying he better than Steph curry? Sure he did but it's just talk. In today's media driven anything for content world they gonna shove mikes in his face. Joey Badass just said he better than Pac, ppl talk shit. If you want him to calm down I understand that but the hate he's receiving by raising 3 talented sons baffles me and it's deeper than him being "crazy"

this, and I am not embarrassed to admit it. showing confidence in your kid will lead to a confident kid
and yes, they are pots calling the kettle black

Is Lebron delusional or going to far when he says his son that is hooping in AAU is going to be better than him? Or when Dell told people Seth (not Steph...growing up Seth was the man) was going to eclipse him. Or what about Michael Thompson and Klay? These questions are not directed at you. Just putting it out there

Plus, there is always someone out there you cannot beat no matter what. And that person that beats you may go on to get beat by other, lesser opponents. For example, Nobody will argue that Tarver had a better career than RJJ. Yet Tarver beat him twice as an adult and numerous times when they fought as kids. Tarver said that he knew the whole time he would win both fights because RJJ could not beat him when they were kids. Just an example to show that white boy cooking him doesn't equate to him being overrated or garbage. He just don't match up well wit that particular white boy. Just like Z-Bo usually dominates Blake most games. I bet any coach would still take Blake over Z-Bo

its self-hate man. these fools don't see the dad is finally reaping the rewards of his dedication to his sons. His reward isn't really the money, its validation that what he did with his boys was right and he didnt push them too hard. It shows all the peeps that doubted them coming up that they are just short sighted

For someone who NEVER won a ring Barkley needs to STFU and stop praying for others to fail. Barkley's track record ain't so stellar and then there's that spitting incident. :smh:

As for Pop's, father promoting his son (maybe over doing it a bit) but I understand it, I see nothing wrong with it.
