This. Plus it is a lot of sacrifice developing a kid to an elite level. My oldest AAU fees were 1350 which doesn't includes all of airfare, hotels, and his 75/week training fee. I am glad he is his kid's biggest fan. And fuck Barkley coon ass.

I'm assuming he's playing 16 or 17 under (because of the airfare travel) & it can't be a shoe sponsored team. Usually a shoe sponsored team has at least a 10 to 15k budget that they get from the sponsor that is used to play in those specific shoe sponsored events. Whatever is left over can trickle down to the younger groups.

Fam it's steep but it's worth it. He is 14 but he made the 15u squad. His travel and gear is taken care of but the entire family roll out to watch him play. So at a minimum, 3 tickets and a extra room plus meals.
Bruh AAU is the real deal. The way i see it, I'm investing in my son's future. There are more college scouts at AAU games than at his high school games. The national tournament will be in Vegas and it will be off the chain.

I got a 15u/9th grade squad and we going out to Vegas this year. We was out there last year with my 14u group... Hell I've been to Vegas 4 times already cause of this AAU stuff lol
Not beat up but clown the hell out of the dumb and blind refs lol during his high school games. However, in AAU we had to sign a parent form that prohibits such behavior. I am not sure which circuit this year but we did Adidas last year. Mad respect for running a AAU program and good luck unless yall play us in Vegas.
