HDD? Like an external hard drive? I was told those won't work on PS5. If I knew that I would have bought one on Amazon Prime day for cheapI'd say get it when you can. Your a good dude and you deserve to play Spider-Man immediately. Far as storage goes apparently on the box it does say you can store PS5 games on an HDD according to reviewers who already have the console but it's not available this very second. A day one firmware update should solve this problem, as there is an update on launch date. So at least you can switch back and forth on an HDD if you need it. Hopefully the SSD will be available soon

You can, however, store and play PS4 games from a compatible USB drive connected to PS5. For more details, keep reading
As of right now it won't work but according to some reports there will be a firmware update on day one which will let you do it

For those interested in copping from Target, there's a mobile app called MyStore that will tell you how many PS5s your local Target has on deck.
It told me my Target only has 25, so the first 25 people with pre-orders or online orders probably get them.
Also, pay attention tonight to how these stores handle the Xbox release as a preview for the PS5 release Thursday.

It could be a bug of course, although it's happening with 2 or more games which makes the situation even weirder, and neither games had a Digital Release WILD GUESS: Sony will allow you to buy PS NOW stream license, then you won't need to sub to PSNOW to play, and technically this is not BC ...

Thanks, I'm glad I didn't get the digital pre-order I wanted now. Now I want the one with the drive.
I'm already seeing PS game deals on physical copies at other stores, but PS Store got their shit at full price. I'd save that little $100 difference just in game sales.
Fuckin gamestop better stop playin wit my emotions. Bordentown one talkin bout they don't know if they gon have enough for the second wave of pre-orders. Meanwhile I called the Princeton and Ewing ones and they said we gonna have plenty to cover the preorders and some left over. Don't make me have to Shawn Michaels a skinny white man through the store glass window like he did Marty Jannetty on the barbershop!!!

Target has buy 2 get 1 free this week. CoD drops this week, and you can add preorders to the online cart as well. I'm going to the store to get the physical Miles, Godfall, and Assassin Creed, then I'll add CoD, Cyberpunk, and something else online.
I was going to wait until I actually scored a PS5 order to do that deal, but I might go ahead and do it today.
Miles doesn't count but hopefully they let you slide.
Yeah, I thought it was all games, too.
I wanted Miles, Watch Dogs and 2K, but only 2K is included in the deal, so I'll be skipping this deal.

I called another Gamestop in the area, and as luck would have it, the person that did the preorders at my local store answered the phone. She said to be a the new location at 10am, and I promised her I'd bring her coffee.
If you didn't get a pre-order in, Target seems to be the best bet to still get one at launch.
You can't go to the store, walk in and cop, but if you manage to get an online order in, there's a chance you can pick it up locally on launch day.
They didn't announce their launch time (to throw off the bots), so any time after midnight it could go down. Some people said the Xboxes went up from 12:30am to 1:30am.
Everywhere else you could order from seems to be shipping only, which means you probably won't get it until late November.
