true on the gullibility but no I'm not underestimating it - if either of those tendons (achilles or patella) rupture - you are on your ass- but you don't lose upper body strength or use of the uninjured leg - in Julio's case both his knees were still working
I've had my patella tendon completely rupture in the street while I was carrying equipment (it was like I lost use of the entire leg) - but was some how able to hustle on hands and single knee myself and approx 50lbs of equipment to the sidewalk +40 feet away
That's why I said better fight choreography would have had Julio continue the fight from on the ground

Ok. I started watching late and have only been skimming the thread. But the last two episodes were pretty bad. That fight scene was actually the "good " part.

With all that, the writing is still getting worse.
my take on this - is its a lie or at best a half truth -
all of the providers are begging for more content - more episodes - longer seasons...
If POWER had truly planned / outlined story for 12 episodes before going into production - Starz would have given them options to work with.
But if they went in by the seat of pants and in mid production asked for more episodes after the contract and budget was set for 10 or 11 episodes - at that point no network will easily agree to up the budget and pay more money for another episode.
My gut feeling watching Power is that the writers are still writing the story while episodes are being shot - other premiere shows the story is locked in by the time of filming most writing changes then are only for dialogue etc

That's my feeling as well. Especially after watching the last episode. I know Anika Noni Rose has that show on BET the Quad so I don't know if that is a reason why her character ended up being written so shitty or what. She literally left the show and came back just to die.
Power is terribly written......but I just thought they had bad writers. I'm starting to think like you that they are writing this shit on the go and trying to tie shit up on the go. That's a recipe for disaster. I know shows don't tend to be written seasons ahead but at least know what you are going to do one season ahead. This shit is becoming laughable. Power is almost to the point of playing out like a SNL skit.
