Yeah I think it was all symbolism showing us that the person known as "Ghost" is dead.
And he's now transitioned fully into James St. Patrick.
Hence why he made it clear he was leaving everyone in his past behind once and for all.
Nobody actually shot him.

I thought Dre was dead when Ghost put the word out to Tommy’s boys in the FEDs. That whole Dre set up was a waste of time.
On the other hand Ghost was extremely cocky this episode, he was definitely outta character.

Of course, he's playing off of what happened last night. Probably his way of saying he's done with shooting (no pun intended) all of his scenes for the final back half of the season.

And here's the biggest WTF!!!! Did I miss something because Cedric The Entertainer is credited in this episode. If that wasn't him laying dead in the warehouse I don't know where the fuck he could have been. Did anyone else notice???

that was really bad writing, Ghost has been mostly cool and calculated the whole series and now he just shittin on everybody with his “no one can stop me line”. A season finale with them saying all season that someone big will die, that automatically let everyone know it was going to be Ghost
