Can't be Tommy. They ruined that theory with this episode. Dre drove a few blocks from the scene and saw Tommy. No way Tommy got that far away in that amount of time.

IMO Ghost is seeing all these scenarios playing out in his head. He will find the right path out of the ordeal on the last episode.

He punched a fed, was arrested for murder and escaped and was concerned about never being safe from Ghost

I think Ghost was shot but not dead. I think the Feds put that story out for his protection. Tate was on the scene to keep an eye on Dre. I think he has Dre hemmed up since he gave him the new package. Saxe has the biggest hard on for Ghost so I think he is the shooter.

Bruh this entire episode was predictable as fuck. All of it. Characters doing so much nonsensical shit to move the plot forward. Dres character was so street smart, but NEVER considered Ghost would set him up??? FBI in charge of keeping his safe and more specifically in custody let him take a piss in a remote place out of eye sight??? 2 dudes with a burner in prison talking in plain sight??? A straight laced cop, now fabricating a case on Ghost???... Like others have said, were just playing out the string because we wanna see how it ends. But the writing is comical.

This one episode kinda rules out a few people, Dre because we saw him run out AFTER the shots, Tate because why hire a shooter and then go do it yourself, Tommy because he was a good distance away from Truth after the shooting its doubtful he could move that far on foot, and lastly Tariq because his rookie ass can't get a gun on his own.

I think Ramona is a good guess, the writers said it won't be anyone we haven't seen before. She may finally have caught on that Ghost is a bad guy and maybe trust issues from her last marriage might cause her to snap, who knows.

At this point, I'm waiting to see how Cedric the Entertainer fits into all of this.
