Maybe I'm just a sucker fold old school hip-hop, but the Kanan series ain't bad to me.
It's no Power (when it first started), but more like Power towards the end.
I assume they'll eventually get to the other characters we know (Ghost, Tommy, Angela, etc.) just gotta give it time.
At least they're doing lesbian sex scenes and not a couple of dudes fucking each other like damn near every other show on TV.

Yeah I didn't think it was bad but that could be the nostalgia factor overpowering my criticisms
Seeing the Benzes with the bbs's, Acura Legends, Davoucci shearlings, Dapper dan tracksuits, Polo Bears, Lo-life etc. took me all the way back to my Childhood

Whole time I've been saying the same shit.

All these videos of real fuckin' on the internet and niggas want to see Angie Valdez get dry humped every week? Shawty wasn't even that cold.

That's the number one sign that a person is watching too much porn.

Same for me, Unique and both of Raq's brothers stay fresh with their fits, love the fashion of the upper tier hustlers in that era

I was hoping that they shot Famous instead of targeting Lou? I mean they wouldn't have to kill him but at least give him a taste of that street life he fronts like he's part of. Would've been hilariously ironic if he got shot while chanting "Streets need a body"

this was a nice episode. I like the pacing and Raq's mole got discovered and dealt with. And I loved the PM Dawn joint at the end! I wore that damn cassingle out back in the day! :ipod:

Y'all in the wrong thread

Guess not since this is an all seasons thread. Probably should merge the other thread.

Yep, The Bulshit show is back!!..Let's see what's up for this season!!
i think i finally figured out what makes the writing on this show so bad...there's no build up to any scenes. It's like as soon as they show Tariq, you know something dramatic is about to happen (i.e. a text, a call, etc.)Every scene just goes straight to the point. or as soon as Tariq starts talking to the chic, Mary pops up. They don't let the scenes play out to make the audience wonder what's going to happen next. I get it, it's only an hour show and they are rushing shit. But it just makes you question everything, because it's happening so fast.

if Mary yells at them kids one more time...i've never seen a character so angry all the time, even when she was fucking dude, she didn't even put her drawers back on before she jumped back into attitude mode.

I wonder how all of this is going to tie in. You got the new connect lurking in the background. The new cop on the case of the dead teacher. White boy got connections to political figures that so happens to also be in Tates crosshairs. MJB family on they new side mission because she’s too controlling for them, plus she’s trying to connect the dots with the teacher dead. One son trying to get back in the family and the other two trying to find a way out. Tariq dumbass picks up the burner phone when the cop calls it like a dumbass (side note: I don’t answer random numbers lol). Now they know that the murder is definitely connected to the school. Now if Tasha tries to reach out on that line, it’s no good. The grandmother got some issues which puts the baby sis in some shit. The teacher chick out here about to start doing the most which will get her clipped as well.

If I missed anything, please fill in the blanks. Oh, and MJB got that thickness working in dem jeans. Lol

At this point, Mary's character has become a parody of itself. Her constant attitude, her paranoia -- always grabbing her gun every time she hears a bump in night, and her fake ass boss persona. Not to mention her doing dumb shit like making a pit stop with weight in the car.
They really laid it on thick this week when she sends Tariq several keys of product to move at school. I get that college kids like to party but there's no way he can move that much weight on campus without drawing some attention. And what's funny is that Tariq is pretty much the only piece Monet has left to play since she cut ties with her street dealers. It's never good business to put all your eggs in one basket.

she's like "what, your teacher was killed and now there's some big investigation happening at your school, where cops will be crawling. damn, ok, here' take these ki's."

and that's what i mean about the bad writing. she picks up the weight and then makes a stop, so you know something dramatic is about to happen.

looking forward to seeing how tate and redman's characters are woven into the storyline
Did you see the episode? Redman is playing Method Man’s incarcerated brother (how many times will they show the “good son” / “bad son” trope?).

Tate is getting set up for his spin-off and that is to become a US congressman via House of Representatives by taking the seat of Tariq’s friend’s father’s friend.
