You can actually freeze eggs for one year when you prep them correctly.
We also have 3 dozen. We went to sis-in-law's farm last weekend.

Breakfast became part of American culture and than various versions of diff meals were introduced as well as to some "essential" products and ingredients . Eggs became 1 of those products. So with the concept of breakfast and with eggs being 1 of the top breakfast essentials it definitely consider a big thing when you up the price to something people might eat 2-7 days out of the week. Than throw in that it's used for many cooking recipes and you add more to its value

I think some people are blowing it out of proportion, but at the same time, the bird flu is kicking our behinds. If it makes a full jump to humans it’s going to spread extremely quickly.
I was in Zihuatanejo in late-December 2019. We would walk to one of the main grocery stores about 20 - 25 mins from the Airbnb to stock up on some grocery essentials. Really hot there ... 110 degrees by mid- to late-morning. The grocery store was like a Fred Meyer. Good selection of stuff. We'd take our time there to cool off as they had nice in-store A/C ... interesting seeing the eggs and other items that weren't refrigerated though. Made me do a double-take ...
