Prince Gently Weeps- greatest solo ever?

The best concert I ever went to in my life was PRINCE here in ATL in 2004.
He peformed about 3 hours.

He did a 45 minute ACOUSTIC SET. That was the best shit I ever heard. "Little Red Corvette" acoustic

Whenever Prince comes to town... it's worth whatever ticket price they charging.
I went to that third added night he was here.
I will never forget that concert.

:yes:That is definetely one of the most awesome displays I ever seen. Prince can make a guitar sound like a person harmonizing. he took it too another level which made everybody else step up there game. Tom Petty aint no joke he has written and performed classics. Prince I send you a "GENTLEMENS SALUTE" THIS IS A AWESOME POST. THANKS

Just a matter of oppinion... But the solo after Computer blue to this day is my favorite... May not be a freestyle solo, but that shit is amazing... It was my default ringtone for a good year before I had to leave it alone...

are you fucking kidding? You didn't notice Mike was standing behind the stage EXACTLY behind Slash, ready for the next number?

And the way those stage hands were "trying" to stop him... Really?

Cmon man.

Prince comes on at 3 minutes in, and lays down what is considered to be one of the greatest musical moments in rock and roll history.

:lol::lol: You've got to be kidding. Prince is a decent guitarist, nothing more.

On a serious note, who is the CAC behind and to the right (from our perspective) of Tom Petty? He looks like a young George Harrison.

Obviously, his son Dhani (who suggested that Prince perform that solo).

Prince owned that solo hands down. Just by reading the amount of comparisons in this thread lets you know Prince is up there with the Guitar gods. He even throws his guitar up to George Harrison in heaven at the end of the set.
