good read...he makes a solid point about them not selling the gold bars as yet...once they start to do that online will be made official...and he’s right imo...this beta wasn’t about working out connectivity issues or any of that shit...it’s all about gauging prices...I imagine they want to get a move on selling those gold bars w/ xmas right around the corner...so I don’t see the beta lasting that long

I just got so turned off by the money system tho. I did a mission delivering mail in New Austin and the first drop dude gave me 0.40 cents! I think I got $5 total from it after delivering the second bag but still that shit ain't cool.
Rockstar is DETERMINED to make that money on micro transactions and that will only lead to more people exploiting their game.

Thats the exact mission that made me stop doing them. The cash you get from the non story missions SUCKS.
The prices of food and ammo need to be affordable period online. Your character needs food, your horses need food. With ammo it is self explanatory
. The same can be said for tonics and medicine. Who wants to grind for basics? The lack of payout takes the fun out of the online experience.
People are just going to form socialist cliques where all in the group share for the cause. Can players share loot with other players if they are friends and all share a storage box? In a way I think R* probably planned for people to actually play with unity to justify the high prices. So I wonder what the person to person transactions can be like? Even if not R* still have to know that online economy is brutal for loners. Those prices need to be adjusted.

Yeah, once I heard about the payout system, and I didn't even bother with it.
That combined with the lack of content and the idea that the progress you make might not even count - just kilt all interest.
And they're talking like this shit might be like this for months? This shit shouldn't have lasted pass the weekend.
Rockstar and Take-Two really tried it.
This is Rockstar's NBA 2K18.
In NBA 2K18 (also Take-Two), they made every aspect of the game a microtransaction with high prices and low pay-outs for completing objectives. Like the payout you would get for playing a game in the NBA story mode wasn't enough to pay for your character to get a haircut or a pair of shoes. This is supposed to be the equivalent of a NBA player's real life salary.
This is the same greedy ass shit.
I can understand grinding for a better horse or a good hideout or special abilities. That's what we grinded for in GTA. They want muthafuckas to grind for survival.
But we knew this shit was coming. They said it. Micro-transactions are the priority.

There was no tonics laying around, no food, clothes, guns, no reward, nothing. And to make shit worse, I couldn't even pick up the guns they dropped, only ammo! Nigga I got a shit ton of shotgun ammo with NO SHOTGUN!
I dunno about this shit man... I'm gonna give it another try later tonight after work but as of right now they can kiss my ass
