I go back to the very first song I ever remember her singing" Sweet Sweet Baby ( Since You've Been Gone.)" I couldn't been no more than 4 at the time and I tried to sing it loved that song. Her voice was like either a cold chill going through my body or a hand snitching me into reality. At one of my lowest point in my life somebody punch a song of hers I had never heard before that point and it's been my favorite song of hers since then. The song was "I Can't See Myself ( Leaving You)" and it still demands every bit of attention every time I hear it. I'm at the point in my life where the icons I grew up with are dropping like rain and I know my time is not far behind I'm just watching the credits roll by. She will be physically missed, but her life's work will last for at least 100 years or more she is that exception to the rule we all can agree on. To her remaining family I wish condolences, healing, and peace your legacy is very rich.

Fox News Remembers Aretha Franklin With Photo Of Patti LaBelle
A video on the network’s morning show mistakenly showed an image of LaBelle from 2014.

Fox News honored the life of Aretha Franklin with an image of Patti LaBelle.

On Thursday, following reports that the Queen of Soul had died at the age of 76, Fox News broadcast a lengthy video featuring Franklin’s life and performances.

The video, while sincere, had a glaring issue. At around the 3:30 mark, there’s an image of Franklin with the text “1942 ― 2018.” Transposed on that image in the upper right corner is a photo of a woman singing.

A fast glance would lead you to believe it’s Franklin. It’s not. It’s the legendary singer Patti LaBelle.

The photo is from LaBelle’s 2014 performance of “Over The Rainbow” for then-President Barack Obama.

Fox News has not commented on the slip-up and did not respond to HuffPost’s request for one.

Franklin and LaBelle for years had a contentious relationship. Still, LaBelle appeared to bury the hatchet on Twitter after Franklin’s death.

“I am deeply saddened about the passing of the Queen of Soul and my sister in song, Aretha Franklin. Today the world has experienced a tremendous loss. Aretha was a rare treasure whose unmatched musical genius helped craft the soundtrack to the lives of so many,” wrote LaBelle.

Reside In Paradise Queen. One of a kind and a gift to all who loved real music.

Her music career spans decades plus she influenced and inspired many. Not only was she a great musical talent and treasure but she was also about the business of her people and community through her activism as well. There will never be another like her. She left behind so many treasures that we can always put one of her songs on and bring her back to life.

Also one other side note. Her nickname "The Queen Of Soul" was bestowed upon her by a gentleman named Pervis Spann "The Blues Man". Him and Queen Aretaha were real good friends. Ironically his birthday happens to be today and he is 86 years young. His health is in a bad way but he is still with us. He is also the founder of radio station AM 1690 WVON Chicago. WVON is the only black owned talk radio station in the entire country and it is on iHeart radio.

Don't let no one lie and say an industry hack gave her the "Queen of Soul" name it was brother Spann.
