In Buckhead on the street East Andrews,, they have town 1 million plus! They nice but not a million nice. In Brookhaven they starting at million. Seen some for 1.5 million or more :eek2: :smh: go into Vinings and then shit is stupid!! Parts of metro Atl is ridiculous...
So I’m curious because here in DC, areas that border DC or within 10-15 minutes from DC townhomes have been going for over a million for years now. I wonder what industries are in ATL where people can afford that?

Yep, I got in good in the Vinings. They are starting to reduce prices everywhere though, but they were overpriced anyway.

I think it’s out of town people coming from NY and LA and other places that are driving up the prices. Those people see a million plus properties here, and like hell yea. Because million plus properties here are way more spacious and luxurious than in other major cities. But to people that’s been living here or from here it’s like what the fuck is going on!! But ATL is overpriced in all the good areas to live in right now. And it’s not just townhomes; it’s condos homes and even apartments. It’s ridiculous right now :smh: :smh:

A million dollar home is like 10k a month, give or take, total expenses; so yea if one makes like 300k plus, I would think they would be fine. Depends on what else expenses they have…

Also remember that everything will be more expensive. I got people giving me quotes of $600 month to cut 3500 Sq Ft of grass just because they think you have money. Even the cleaners will clean you out with their prices. You got to get ready for that.

Chinese firms are buying all the property causing pricing to stay UP... inflation rates caused chinese banking system to fold now....JUST WATCH CLOSELY WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

The Chinese are putting $6 billion dollars in a $43 trillion dollar market. They only account for roughly 10% of foreign investments. Canada accounts for $5.5 billion.

You think 2 million people can just uproot their whole family and job and move to where they can pay what you pay? Not everyone wants to live in the Midwest or south. Besides that’s Manhattan. You can find reasonable prices in Brooklyn, queens, Long Island etc. Manhattan is rich people shit

Or you you could move uptown to Dark Manhattan

I got a home in Smyrna Vinings area. Like maybe half acre. Fools trying to charge me 100 just for front yard. I was like you got me fucked up. Went to another lawn service he was 120 for front and back; but wanted me to agree to every 2 weeks and sign a 6 month contract. And then said we'll bushes and tree trimmings well that's gonna be 450 to start. I looked at him like :hmm: and said you can take your services somewhere else...

Is Tucker in the city limits or something? I thought DC was one of the only places where you can see townhomes range from $700,000 up to over $1 million and be on the out skirts (10 min.) from downtown....
It's not just NY, DC or LA. This market is crazy. We got old townhouses in Cary, NC a suburbs Of Raleigh that has townhouses going for 1 million.

Average Monthly Rent In Manhattan Hits Record $5000/month

Anybody paying this shit and struggling to pay it, definitely needs to get slapped silly.

I pay just over $900/month on a 1600sq ft, 3 bedroom home, 2 baths, 3 car garage that was built brand new back in 2003.

Straight up stupidity paying $5000/month rent.

I would take next month’s rent and haul ass one-way out ASAP.

This is absolutely insane.

I'm in the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area.

Both have homes "starting at 800-900k."

One of my jump offs purchased a cookie cutter home in Norcross by the water treatment plant for 550k.

I told her not to buy because she has to work 2.5 jobs to maintain her household but she swore to me prices were going to keep going up.

I don't even want to see what they're charging in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Vinings, etc.

Shit is crazy. Sandy Springs is one of those crazy areas :smh: gas is ridiculous high in that area also. I would not live in that area. But like I said earlier, these prices in Atl are ridiculous in all the good areas. It will burst for sure though but only for homes that are 500k and more...

Yup same here in DC. Every new building being built is luxury apartments and condos. I’m like where are these new people coming from or what do they know I don’t know.

I even read recently that a lot of buildings that are now empty because of businesses going out of business are thinking of converting their space into condos.

Downtown DC is a ghost town during the day even now.
Probably because most of us still work from home. My job is about to go remote.

I was just looking at my childhood home and some of the online stats.

My mom sold it for 300+ in 2001.

The new owners took a loss and resold it for under 200k in 2004.

As of 2019 it was assessed at 1.4 million, and as of last year at 1.6 million.

The house is 60+ years old. Decent area, nothing special. Only 3 bed, 2.5 bath.

That's the dilemma. You're working so much to maintain the place that you can't really enjoy it. Having to remind yourself it's for the long-term investment.

It's a bit easier when you're younger and saving for a place. When you're working like crazy - lots of money is coming in (and you don't have time to spend it - just save it for the downpayment and eventual mortgage). As you get a bit older it's tougher to keep up the 2 - 2.5 jobs challenge. Wears you out.

Does she enjoy her jobs / pay pretty well?

Shit...Decatur been had million dollar + houses. But here's the thing people dont get. People are paying 7 figures not just for the house, but the school district. If you have 2, 3, 4 kids, buying a house with multiple bedrooms thats in a good district is much cheaper than private school...and tax deductible and you build equity.
