Our family of four shared a cramped studio for 25 years. L.A. housing costs nearly kept us there forever
We were first-generation Latina home buyers seeking to get our family out of a crowded 450-foot apartment. Here's how our housing search went.

F
Facts. That’s what people don’t talk about
Why should the state bail those people out. They bought and built those homes there knowing full well a river isn't an ideal place to have a permanent residence. Just like an ocean front beach isn't. No sympathy here.![]()
Dozens of homes off-kilter on Fraser River, locals blame lack of dredging
Residents living in houseboats along the Fraser River in Delta and Richmond often have a hard time getting into their homes, due to lack of dredging on the waterway.bc.ctvnews.ca

Muthafucka's in San Francisco ain't going to see the Golden State Bridge or other historical sites in SF.
Them muthafucka's going to work, getting some to eat and taking their bitchasses to sleep like everyone else!
But we already know, location, location, location.
Right but I am sure it's way more things to do - restaurants, clubs, and places to visit in SF than in that area in Texas
Like in DC, this house is almost 2 million, but it's in NW and it's always something to get into, visit, and restaurants to go to..

Gotcha! You're right there's definitely more things to do in SF and DC.
My point was most of the people that live in those locations aren't doing them.
Most people are doing and enjoying the things only available in their city.
Most people go to work, eat watch tv and go to sleep. On the weekends go out a couple of times to eat etc but aren't doing most of the things at their desired locations.
I have more to say about it but don't feel like typing![]()
Gotcha!

Naw you so right though. It amazes me to hear people from DC saying they have been to the museums lol one of the few places opened everyday of the year except Christmas lol
People from DC go to the monuments and museums when they're kids and had to go for school.
Other than that that's tourist shit and they stay outta downtown DC unless it's for work.
Of course there's exceptions like eating, events or lounge\clubs but that's not an every week or weekend thing.
The African American museum's also an exception.
Imma live in a mid-sized city and travel to big city for leisure type guy. And shit, I don’t even want to travel to big cities anymore.
I find myself more entertained being in nature and traveling to national parks.

Definitely man! The older and more comfortable we get, the less we like to deal with bullshit.
And the bullshit is crowds, traffic, chaos and shit that we don't wanna deal with...
And all that equals Big Cities![]()
My lil homie at work is the same way. Him and his girl go to national parks all over the country and go camping...He put me on to this....

Wifey and I went hiking in NC mountains this past weekend going to different waterfalls. It was a great time with her and a realization of how simple we have become. She wants to do more things like that and I agree.
We aren’t adventurous, but we enjoy nature. All that big city rush and huge amounts of people are cool with a limit and I think I’m reaching capacity.![]()
this is a sneaky way these mofos are going to take your homes. insurance companies are sneakily dropping properties and then that allows the bank to seize your property.
