Funny I heard a story regarding the same point about bachelor's degrees
Guy one and Guy two are in the waiting room for a job interview. Guy one walks in and the interviewer says, do you have a degree? He answers, "I have a bachelor's degree," the interviewer says, don't worry about that. We will train you and teach you everything you need to know.
The second guy walks in and the interviewer asks, do you have a degree? Guy 2 says, "No, but I have..,"
The interviewer Cuts him off, well, you don't qualify to work here
And that is why they doing this. They can now use that as a way to box you out. We get on game they change the rules.
Doesn’t explain a 5000 bag for any understandable reason. You can dress nice for much cheaper than that. And actually have something. Dressing presentable does help garner respect but the people today spend money to look like bums.
I wasn't addressing the specifics, just part of the root of the issue in general. This phenomenon isn't unique to Black folks, but our issue is more complex than just wanting to appear well off due to the history of racism in this country.

Fact. More Black people were getting their Bachelor's, so they do this. That way they can hire the white folks they want
But then people wonder y i dont like college.. i push for trades all day! Ijs easier more in line with what u really want to do in life and many times u can go out and be your own boss right away depending on the trade..but hey thats just my mindset...
