The positives and negatives of helping your kids with the kids they created, especially If they're not finished with high school when they make them
From what I have witnessed from friends, family and others, the ones who are the most trouble are the ones where their parents, the kids grandparents take most if not all of the responsibility.
The ones who do better, are the ones who have parents that help out a little bit, but the majority of the burden is on the person who created the new mouth to feed.
I had a friend make his daughter pay him to babysit and would increase the fee if it wasn't for a work issue (if she wanted him to babysit so she could go to a party). I had another friend who took most of the responsibility.
The friend who took most of the responsibility, his daughter had another kid within a year. The other one, his daughter put herself through college
