Social media is a cold world!!!

I had to do the Heimlich at work for a client in the late-2000s. She was quietly choking on a meal and exited to go to the elevator out of shyness / embarassment (to head back to her suite). Fortunately a guy was getting off the elevator as she was ready to get on at the main floor, and yelled for help and brought her back to the common area ...

Tell that bitch be cool. Shit would have pissed me off

Man, it was tough. She was a grandma with some young grandkids at home. I was only working at that work location once in awhile, so things went from 0 to 60 pretty quickly in problem-solving and I kept thinking to myself "You're not gonna die on a pleasant weekend dinner meal before the holidays. Fuck that."

Calling her family home after she was ambulanced off to VGH to inform the daughter ... "Your mom's in the hospital. She had a serious choking episode ..."

Fuck ... I'm really glad she pulled through. So thankful the woman returned with her mom that night, and was appreciative of the help we gave her. Made sure to give those fellow tenants in the building props. It was good teamwork with them stepping right up immediately (opening doors / flagging down the ambulance / taking over the 911 call).

Police in Abbotsford impounded a BMW Friday after clocking the teenager behind the wheel driving at nearly three times the posted speed limit.

The traffic stop occurred on Livingstone Avenue, the Abbotsford Police Department said in a post on social media.

The 18-year-old driver was recorded travelling 140 km/h in an area where the speed limit is 50 km/h, police said.

“When stopped, the driver claimed he was late for an exam and needed to make up lost time,” reads the department’s post.
