Some players still can believe it..DeMarcus Cousins looks at Durant on the Warriors in disbelief....

Why wouldn't anyone respect him? The only difference now is that the superstar player has the opportunity to choose where he wants to play. Many of these superstar players know one another and they are friends. This is expected.

Competition... Really... You are talking about the NBA. There are usually on three teams that have an opportunity to win during any given year. Look at the NBA champions. It is the same teams over and over again. That is just the nature of the beast and honestly... Adam Silver and the owners are probably loving this.

You didnt name me a reason why the move should be respected.

Lets be honest for a sec. GSW were the best team last year. By far.

They were favorites to win it all next year. Heavy favorites. BEFORE they even signed Durant.

I can name you a dozen SF who can sign with GS and win the ring with them next year.

Durant chose to jump on the bandwagon because he wanted the easiest path possible to the title.

So im gonna ask again, what am i supposed to respect in all of this?

Well what other selfish reason does KD haters have other that he went to a team that struggled to beat Lebron by three points in game 7 of the finals to win the Ring? Add KD to this losing team now they super? Everyone mad but why rings count KD not getting any younger and if he had of went to ATL or New York same haters would be crying! It's Kd Life not mines or yours + Barkley was great but gets shited on all the time cause he has no ring let KD be great he might even learn to be a better shooter with GS!

Fam... LeBron beat a superteam already... TWICE!

OKC had Westbrook, Durant and Harden on it when LeBron beat em.

Please lets not pretend that LeBron is the dude who has anything to prove here.

This is what I don't get. It was equal bitchassness. If Durant a bitch then Bron a bitch. To me they all bitches. Go Nuggets!

It ain't equal though. Bron was a bitch and he carried the cross. Durant is a FUCKING bitch, and he isn't talked about nearly as bad. CACs outside of OKC ain't going in on him like they did Bron.

Wonder when he goes to a team with some more stars will it be a problem then

He is basically the black Kevin Love

Yeah I said it

Get to the playoffs big fella

Can't call you the best nothing if you can't do that

The sad part is he got 2 more years unless they trade him this off season or by next year's all-star break.

They should have let Sac-Town fold and moved the team to Seattle.

Let me get this straight. I don't know why he did it. It was his decision as a free agent. Based on that... I have to respect a man who can determine where he is going to sell his services.

As a fan of NBA, it was a great choice. Great ratings. People will tune in to see them fail as well as succeed.

Also, they probably were recruiting him the year before. It is not like these guys aren't recruited until the free agency period begins. He is the only one who knows why he chose GSW. All else is speculation.

All this competitive bs is just a matter of not having choices. That is the real hate. Many folks are envious that some of these players can do what they want..

Historically, if you look at NBA champions then you will have at least 3-4 hall of famers on most squads besides those Bulls (1st 3-peat, Rockets and Pistons 2004).

Durant doesnt have haters.

It simply isnt true that KD would get the same criticism if he would have gone to NY or ATL.

Im gonna say this again. GSW are already an HISTORICALLY GREAT TEAM WITHOUT DURANT.

So it doesnt even compare to if he would have joined with ATL or NY or any other team for that matter.

I will also challenge you on the notion that Barkley gets shit on cause he never won a ring. Guys like Barkley, Malone and Ewing get a pass for playing in the MJ era. MJ aint let nobody eat. We all understand that so theres no point to shit on these guys for it. They get respect but only thing is they cant make it on top ten ATG lists.

Yeah but don't act folks still love KD. You obviously hate him lol.

But to the real point in all this:

that nigga out the Northwest and y'all know I'm definitely ok with the fall of OKC. First was Harden, now Durant. Westbrook eventually. Good job fellas

 I don't hate Durant, I don't hate Bron either. I don't have to hate them to call them(inside the sporting landscape) bitches. I love my lady... Bitch is a bitch sometimes, doesn't mean I don't respect her. Just calling the hoe a bitch is all. Same shit.

That's just called free agency.

Its quite common. Just about every NBA player goes through it.

So within context of NBA players, its nothing special.

I dont know what impact this will have on ratings, but as an NBA fan I dont care for ratings. I loved every minute of the Spurs vs Pistons finals. Even if I was the only one watching it, according to the ratings.

Aint nobody in here talking about loyalty.

The issue is competition.

Tell me one reason why fans should respect a player going to a team thats historically great WITHOUT him.

Just one.

I dont think it matters what fans think, at the end of the day, its the players legacy and money at stake....

and no disrespect but fuck fans, how many times you see fans get all butt hurt and vocal when a player sits out...

but when the player gets let go, what do the fans do,

fuckin nothing.

Look at Chris Bosh he wanted to stay and play despite the fact the other big two left...

but the team felt it was not in THEIR best interest to keep him...

so they let his ass go....

now where are the fuckin fans??

How did team loyalty work for chris bosh??

He ain't got to take a bad shot ever. After watching some golden state pre season games. He fits right in. Scary good on the offense.

Bron ain't get shit on as much as KD has already. And did KG not waive his no trade? Decisions were made to link up a "superteam" in all cases.

A lot of different scenarios though. Bron did an attention whore special and it is well fucking known to anyone who really followed the cavs that he crippled the team by not committing. He had an owner who was willing to spend(look at cap spending in BOTH lebron errors), but how could the owner spend when people were afraid of Lebron's non-committal? Then dumb asses turned it into a slave/racist thing when Gilbert fired back. Anyone who would have taken what Lebron did sitting down is a bitch. Gilbert did it in a rash manner, but there had to be a fucking response.

KG put in years and that team wasn't going anywhere.

KD joined a team that knocked him out and he choked away some games. Just ultimate bitchassadness. But at the end of the day, it's how he feels. The scenarios are just different.

I made clear that I'm NOT about any kind of LOYALTY.

Please stop bringing that up cause its not what this is about.

What Im saying though is that when we talk NBA, Im talking from a fan's point of view because that's what I am. We are all just fans here. So of course our opinions dont and shouldn't matter to them, but that dont mean we shouldn't have any.

As a fan, Im saying that his talent is on a top ten ATG level. So the expectations I have is that he would put in work like they did. Meaning carrying teams to championships. Not joining ready-made championship teams who would win rings regardless of if he was there or not. That's all Im saying.

The NBA cares. They are in the business of selling entertainment and names. It is not like football which sells itself because there are many other things associated with football than the game itself.

For me... Just give me good competitive games and I am good or give me excellent basketball.
