He was good on LA radio

Him and Marcelus (pre coon) were really good together. Espn choose to blow that up. Max gives really thought out takes and that doesn’t work for “hot take”. I think Steven has wanted Max gone every since TO said that people see Max as more of a “brother” than SAS. That hurt his pride.

They RARELY post any of Max takes

Which is just bad business and a fireable offense

It's poor leadership they HAVE the content talent and resources

Max needs the right producer and format.

And him and Key in the morning should work fine.

That kjz mix was a train wreck from the drawing board

*respect to zubin, he has really bad diabetes and the stress of the show not working was tough

That mix ain't right. They had the right ingredients but fumbled AGAIN.

But morning radio is VERY IMPORTANT

They gave greeny and max their own shows to middling results

And kjz was a bad idea from day one.

It was SUPPOSED to have been Key and Max like in LA.

So it seems we going back to that.

As lucrative as Stephen A contract is? It's messed up cause he a slave. He basically on 24 hour call...

Yeah it's great exposure and he is kinda the face of the network and gets to be on Disney stuff...

But Greeny gets the same money for much much less work.

And SAS act is getting tired ain't nobody watching his solo show

He just repeating the same things

They always said they were going to raise Max profile... and they gave him a lil show on plus and a radio show... yeah ok.

But they gotta save morning radio and actually think in THAT slot he would be good because it's radio, TV show, Podcast in one morning radio show

Out of SAS shadow.

I think what they should do is add a revolving door of co hosts on First take moving forward. Train Molly up to be a stronger voice.

It's still Stephen A show and he can debate a revolving door of guests and have the espn regulars and guests come to debate not just for a segment but a whole show.

Much like now but more structured.

Bomani needs his own show on TV too.

They need work on ALL their podcasts more and create some new ones.

They need REAL shows on the app, podcasts and TV

Max & Marcellus was by far my favorite show. Four hours of radio of two dudes just talking. Such an easy listen. I was mad when Max left. Max used to give Stephen A. that work. I think Max will do better in the show with Keyshawn & Jay Will instead of the hot take format of First Take.

Haven't listened to him since he left espn.

If thats where he's going...Jay Will will only get like 2 or 3 words in a show...Key and Max will be talking over him the whole time and..Jay Will already soft spoken anyway..

Anybody watch First Take today? I'll check it out later. I'm sure Stephen A. & Michael Irvin were very calm and professional on their first show together :giggle:

this is NOT his best platform... he is NOT a radio guy.

a podcast and the new version of the Jump they working on would be great.

also they need a weekly one on one interview show with sports stars during their specific season. J will would be great doing weekly NBA sit down casual 20 min interview with INTERESTING players past and present

but let me chill ESPN already stealing all my concepts.

Thought so, still didn't help matters much.

New first take format needs a little work

But it's early

I won't be watching much not that I was before but so far they taking my suggestions well.

LOL. It's not Keyshawn, Jay & Max. It's The Max Kellerman show featuring Keyshawn & Jay. Max took over with the quickness but the other two are former players so Max should lead. I'll take this over First Take with Stephen A. any day.
