Yes, it melts in your mouth and you have to eat rare . The ONLY seasoning you eat with it is sea salt . Nothing else. It’s meat butter. You can actually buy A5 at Costco. They fly it in from Japan it’s frozen but defrost it for a few hours prior to cooking so it’s room temperature. You can buy two nice sized steaks in a pack for $150. I put mine on the grille. None of that gas bullshit. Use charcoal and wood.

I think the problem is some mutha fuckas don’t have any dining etiquette AT ALL.

You seen em, maybe you one of the mutha fuckas I’m talking about.

My girls friends mom went out to a restaurant ordered some crab cakes didn’t like the crab cake ate most of it ANYWAY. When the bill was due tried to send the plate back like it was too small yadda yadda blah blah. Made a big stink over it manager finally gave in and took the crab cake off the bill. :smh: Mutha fuckas like that cheapen the dining experience.
Bruh it’s terrible. I’m in spots were the low levels are asking for all types of shit from the wait staff and leave a $1 tip. I’m trying to have a good time with good people and end up sharing space with jackasses. No one wins.

Niggas know how to ruin any fine dining experience. I don't blame them for instituting the policy.
I see the same shit at Pappadeaux down here in Houston.
Niggas just acting out for social media and going there to be seen.

At Pappadeaux?...For real?...Man, society really is on the brink of collapse if mugs are going to goddamn Pappadeaux to see and be seen. Next time I'm down there I'll get my order to-go.

I make the best steak ever medium rare. I will post pics later. Ain't nobody in this thread fucking with the types of steak I make and my shit is often better than any restaurant I have been to, fine dining establishments included. When I go to these places I actually show the manager what I do at home and tell them please don't disappoint me.

With that said I still like to get dressed and go out to a nice restaurant and a show. I appreciate the "fine dining" experience and I don't mind spending a grip on a nice meal. But given how I get down in the kitchen my expectations are super high so I end up having to go to nice places anyway.

I don't fuck with outback, chilis, applebees, longhorn, texas roadhouse, fridays or shit like that. its just a waste of money. I can do it better and cheaper at the crib.

KillaMayne cometh for you....brah

There's a spot Blue Point Grille (it's got the E in the end so you know it's fancy )

The wife and I went just before shutdown last year, dressed up in dress slacks, shirt, tie and jacket...she had the heels and a form fitting but nice dress on....we're like cool.....

Mayne this group of hwyte ppl walked in ... flip flops, Bermuda shorts, Hawaiian shirts. Chicks had on halter tops..... I told my wife that's the last time we "dress up," but I'll be damned if we go anywhere nice like THAT. And they were loud and annoying.
Yo bread not long enough to fuck wit them cacs

They people prolly own the spot

This is from an Indian restaurant the wife and I frequent in Houston...just an idea of how dining and ambiance can make it worth it for some folk.

That is raw tuna with sauces and edible flowers...outstanding if you like raw tuna.

The other is a lamb shank that is cooked to the meat falling of the bone...they pour a whole bowl of that red sauce over the shank table side and I eat it with garlicky na'an....one of the best meals I have ever eaten in my life and have been back at least twice.

And yes, that is gold on the shank...which they drizzle on tableside....LOL...and I agree, who gives a fuck, but I guess it is a trendy thing because they put it on a dessert dish too...as you can see.

And if you go and get a chance, sit in the private areas on the patio.

What's the name of that spot? Looks like it might be in Memorial City area judging by the background.
I don't even like Indian food like that, but that looks good.

Actually it is in the Galleria. It is down by the Sage and Westheimer intersection. Next to Saks 5th Avenue. When you look at the building you will see Nobu and Musaffer on the top and Fig and Olive and Blanco Tacos + Tequila on the bottom....

We were being adventurous and got hooked...we like spicy food and I swear that was one of my best meals ever

HOLY FUCKIN SHIT

That looks like heaven

:wepraise::wepraise::wepraise:

And this is exactly what I am trying to get at.

I do this at home with on a 30 dollar portable kingsford grill (because i don't want to light up the big boy) with that high end charcoal and a sous vide set up. I get "fine dining" restaurant results consistently.

YET, I still go out to "fine dining" establishments because I enjoy that experience and see the value in that experience. And it is nice to take my lady out on the town a couple of times a month.

dudes in here on some bullshit.

I was in a thread a few months ago telling people that a grill master can throw down on a hole in the ground. It is about technique and experience. It is not about equipment.

Grill masters post them if you got them.
