I did.

I think he will be the better player historically.

Hard to compare active players vs. retired but the resume Curry is building is impressive.

I'm sorry I thought I read "is" not "will be"

Niggas want to move the goal post now

When comparing Bron to Jordan niggas immediately go to the "he 6-0" in the finals and he got 6 rings even do Bron go the better overall stats and honestly the more impressive resume..

Now ninjas like AI better than Curry even tho Curry has accomplished more in a shorter period of time than AI.. Lmaooooo

Expose them hypocrites

Jordan dickriders and Kobe stans the only ones who do that though. Use ring counts on some simple math shit. Except when they lose, then a "context" exists. Everyone else rings comes with a "context"

And for the record even without bringing the ring discussion in, Curry is a more efficient player than AI, numbers speak for themselves.

He made the thread because one has a ring and the other doesn't. It's an argument about "ring count" being used a metric for being the better player.

ya I'm caught up now...so he's still on it from y-day w/ the love being better than barkley trolling/sarcasm

He is better than him now but if he gets injured and never returns to current form, will he be remembered as the better player?

Take a look at how Derrick Rose turned out.

I'm sorry I thought I read "is" not "will be"

Well you got people like @godofwine saying LeBron ain't top 10 because he only got 3 rings while others got more.

Problem with godofswine's argument is that it is useless if you pick and choose who you apply it to.

Yea who was it that said Love should be better than Barkley because he had a ring as a counter to that bullshit.

Aside from 2001, Allen Iverson's teams never made another conference final in his career. His teams missed the playoffs altogether in 2004 and 2006. Steph Curry is coming off back to back Finals appearances.

Btw I'm taking Iverson. Curry look like he wasn't even the best player on his time at times.

And Iverson would have been much more successful if he was given help on and off the court....one of the best to ever do it

2006 Philadelphia 76ers with Iverson missed the playoffs. He demanded to be traded. 2007 76ers make the playoffs with Iguodala

2008 Denver Nuggets with Iverson get swept out the 1st round. He is traded for C Billups, 09 Nuggets go to the Western Conference Finals

2008 Pistons go to the Eastern Conference Finals. They trade for Iverson and get swept in the 1st round in 2009.

Here are Iversons NBA finals stats against a dynasty team with two top 15 NBA players all time....

47 fucking minutes per game

36 points

6 boards

4 assists

2 steals

Delete this muthafuckin thread!!

That Sixers teams was completely beat up. After a while they just let Ivetson score.

Stephen is a much more dangerous shooter with better handle while AI was a better defender.

AI gets the edge cuz he could do more with less.

Who else was on those teams? And like I said Iverson needed some help off the field also. He could have been in the Nba alot longer

Damn, AI had way more DOG in him than Curry. Curry is the best shooter ever though. I'd take Curry.
I was just thinking to myself Kyrie is the modern version of AI, just a little slower but a better shooter. Both excellent handle and unbelievable finisher around the rim

Iverson. In his prime he couldn't be stopped! Curry relies way too much on them 3's.

Iverson

Curry hasn't even been able to sustain HIS brilliance for as LONG as Iverson was able to sustain HIS.

Curry got Klay

Iverson had Eric Snow.

you do the math

Going by rings?

Straight up I think A.I. wins.

That being said rings mean nothing. Zan Tabak has more rings than Ewing but that doesn't make him better. Plus with the way that team was put together any competent guard could get a ring on that Warriors squad. I don't think Curry gets one on the Sixers.

A better question is Curry going head to head against Ray Allen.

Steph's won a ring before, AI hasnt. He got more MVPs as well. Why the need for "context"?

What people fail to realize when they say "imagine if they played today where you cant touch them" um we you realize that said player won't be able to touch either? That scottie Pippen wouldn't be as good as a defender in today's age neither would Mike be.

No one was more influential than AI
No one played harder than AI
No one took more hits than AI

And don't forget that refs and the league racially hated and currently still hates AI.

Right. By his measure, Robert Horry is a better PF than Malone and Barkley. FOH.

Iverson took a team to the Finals with a starting 5 of Eric Snow, George Lynch, Tyrone Hill and Mutombo while being a 6'0 penetrating TWO GUARD.

Steph is a more efficient player than AI and the numbers above (FG%, FT%, 3pt%, PER) show that.
Steph is the better player.

I def think AI is the better scorer. AI is a volume shooter while Curry can play within about any system.

You can win with both but I think Steph would have you closer to a title because he is not ball dominate
