Foxx watched the series herself and said she found it "deeply, deeply disturbing." "I was sickened by the allegations. I was sickened as a survivor. I was sickened as a mother. I was sickened as a prosecutor," she said.
But Foxx also said there's no active investigation of Kelly and launching one would require victims and witnesses. Gerald Griggs, an Atlanta-based attorney who represents Savage and his wife, said he has been contacted by both the Fulton County district attorney's office in Atlanta and prosecutors in Chicago. The Fulton County investigators "haven't confirmed or denied an investigation," he said, but they asked him Monday for contact information for witnesses.
Savage and his wife have said repeatedly that Kelly has kept their daughter from contacting them since 2016. Chris Hopper, a spokesman, for the Fulton County district attorney's office, declined to comment.
A Cook County jury acquitted Kelly of all 14 counts of child pornography in 2008. Prosecutors had argued a videotape showed him engaged in graphic sex acts with a girl as young as 13. Kelly and the alleged victim, in her 20s at the time of the trial, denied it was them in the video.
Kelly's Chicago attorney, Steve Greenberg, said in a phone interview Tuesday evening that the allegations in the Lifetime documentary were false. "Ten and a half years after he was found innocent (at trial of child pornography charges) and to fill reality TV time — someone comes up with another round of stories," he said. "No one has found any sex slaves or underage girls because there aren't any."
Greenberg also said it was inappropriate for a state's attorney to characterize allegations she'd seen on TV, prior to charges or even an investigation. "Who makes their assessment of the evidence based on reality TV?" he said.

Woman slain; daughters, 12 and 14, charged
Two sisters accused of stabbing their mother to death Friday night are being held on murder charges, Pike County Sheriff Kenny Cotton said.

Cotton said deputies and paramedics tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate Hall.
“They found out the daughters — two teenagers, juveniles — allegedly did it,” Cotton said.
The younger daughter is being held in the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center in Natchez, while the other, Amariyona Hall, is being charged as an adult and is in the Pike County jail on a $150,000 bond. She had a bond hearing Saturday and is expected to return to court for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 29.
Cotton said mental evaluations are pending for both.
“They’re charged with murder and we’re going to apply the law,” Cotton said.

Producer Damon 'Dame' Dash sat down for a candid and frank interview about the Lifetime series Surviving R Kelly last week, and for the first time shared how his ex Aaliyah felt about the man she married at the age of 15.
'I watched some of it yesterday, as much as I could tolerate,' said Dash while appearing on Hip Hop Motivation.
'Number one: there was a girl when she was even trying to talk about it and she couldn't, and I remember Aaliyah trying to talk about it and she couldn't. She would just leave it at: 'That dude was a bad man.'
Dash, who was dating Aaliyah when she was tragically killed in 2001 plane crash, then added: 'I've been tight about this sh*t for years.'
He later explained to host Kenyatta Griggs that Kelly played a big part in the demise of his partnership with Jay Z, who in 2002 agreed to work with the singer despite knowing what he had done to Aaliyah.
Trauma: Dame Dash said that his ex Aaliyah (above with R Kelly when she was 15 and the singer was 27) was unable to speak about her time with R Kelly because she was so traumatized, only saying: 'That dude was a bad man'

'But it was so much hurt for her to revisit it. I wouldn't want to revisit it without a professional. Whatever got done was terrible.'
That is why his partner's decision to collaborate with Kelly was too much for him to handle, with Dash claiming he donated all profits he made from Best of Both Worlds to a breast cancer charity in memory of Aaliyah.

(CNN)CNN has learned an arrest warrant was issued over the summer for R. Kelly's former manager, James Mason, after Mason was accused of threatening to kill the father of Joycelyn Savage, one of the women featured in "Surviving R. Kelly."
The incident, which allegedly took place in May 2018, was reported by Timothy Savage to Henry County police. Savage claims his daughter is being held against her will by R. Kelly and Mason threatened him for speaking out about it.
Reached by phone Wednesday morning, Mason told CNN he had "no comment" and referred additional questions to his attorney.
In an incident report obtained by CNN, Timothy Savage stated that Mason said, "I'm gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I'm gonna get you, I'm going to f***ing kill you."
The case was presented to a Magistrate Judge who issued a warrant in July, citing "terroristic threats and acts." The warrant is assigned to the sheriff's office.

"I just want everybody to know -- my parents and everybody in the world -- that I'm totally fine. I'm happy where I'm at and everything is OK with me," she said in the video.
