Unbeknownst to artists, labels often take out life policies separate from rappers taking out their own.
This has been common practice for the last 15 years I think.
The situations aren't really that different though.
Dolph, Takeoff, PNB, and many others were killed because they were moving in ways that you shouldn't be moving when you're high profile and known to have money by either being places they shouldn't have been, being too flashy, being with people they shouldn't be fucking with, etc.
I'm a 9 to 5 brother and even I cut a lot of people and activities back once I started having shit to lose.
