There's no other way to be, fam. Same. As I'm pitching my series I had to let situations and circles go. Doesn't mean I don't still love or have love for them, but this is proactive self defense. Wishing you hella luck fam. See you on the red carpet!

The situations aren't really that different though.

Dolph, Takeoff, PNB, and many others were killed because they were moving in ways that you shouldn't be moving when you're high profile and known to have money by either being places they shouldn't have been, being too flashy, being with people they shouldn't be fucking with, etc.

I'm a 9 to 5 brother and even I cut a lot of people and activities back once I started having shit to lose.

And what I have to lose is nothing compared to these brothers.

It honestly boggles my mind how many of us fail to address the root cause of situations WE create.

For the life of me, I can’t grasp why that is. We have to be allergic to accountability or something cause none of it makes sense.

It’s like someone who eats nothing but BBQ, Pizza, Burgers & greasy fried food 24-7 and has the nerve to complain about being fat. My guy… address the cause and the effects will follow 10 times outta 10.

I hope for change, but I’m HIGHLY skeptical of it.

Shit was downtown looks like the house of blues area? I was just out there about a month or 2 ago at the bowling alley for a company event then nightcap afterwards... met and kicked it with Adrian Peterson that night... shit is crazy... that's not a hood area... the city put a lot into the revitalization of downtown Houston and this is one of the nicer areas to chill...

Some of these youngsters will never understand this. When you move up you have to move differently.

Hell the fuck no.

Another negro shot and folk going to move on like shit ain’t happen like we always do.

Rense, clean, repeat.

A student told me she didn’t feel right turning up at homecoming knowing a student just got shot and killed on campus. You’d think situations like this would humble people, but it doesn’t. We mourn, say our rips, talk about the issue for a few days, and do that shit all over again when the next negro gets shot and killed.

There isn’t going to be some magical wake up we hope for until we stop with the dumb shit. And I’m a pessimist. I don’t believe we are capable to even reduce the amount of dumb shit we do. It is what it is.
Unfortunate that I'm heading this way as well

He was the best rhymer out of the group. And he never seemed to have drama. It was always offset u heard about. It’s frustrating to see rappers dying literally monthly. These weren’t local popular rappers. Migos were everywhere. They were on SNL and performed at multiple international shows like the billboard music awards. These cats had enough money to afford real security. I never expected this. It’s sad as hell. We as a people are so much better than this.

We, as a whole, seem to be into moments and not movements. Shit like this is just another opportunity to write a song and wear a t-shirt with a different picture on the front. We keep asking ourselves at what point do we stop this senseless shit. Maybe we should just admit that maybe there is no point.

There have been forces in play since J. Edgar Hoover to ensure there will never be another MLK, Malcom, etc.

And it's obviously a new day, with so many distractions and time wasters. And it pays to be a Kanye or Candace, Herschel etc.

We are purposely segmented. Talented tenth was supposed to become docs and lawyers and give back to the community. They chased money. Now their grandkids wanna be gangsters. So many factors in play.

I understand the relationship between an uncle and nephew cause I'm not that much older than mines and we've fought each other, fought others, helped each other and nothing has ever changed between us....I got one that'll I'll go all out for and the rest of em I wish em luck but it is what it is.

You don't ever want to be a prisoner of your own fame but it's better to be alive and rich than dead and just a memory and with that said you have to watch where you go,who's around and the activities you participate in like shooting dice which might not seem like nothing but a lot of people have passed away over something so simple. You want to gamble go to a casino and not do it in places and around people whose God is money and they don't value much not even your life.

This is probably it for the Migos, hopefully they have enough money to live off of and gracefully bow out of the spotlight cause it's not worth the loses ....I don't blame em.

RIP to em

I posted it because it's so well known that these things go this way that there's comedic sketches from almost 20 years ago about it being a well known fact.

I remember going to the barbershop back in like 97/98 they was talking about dice games. How they always ended with someone being shot etc. Vernon Maxwell from the Rockets got beat once at a game for his crack head antics. No one is immune to getting done at a dice game. Glad I did my trick or treating and was in bed by 11. My buddy just said ain't nothing but trouble in them streets. Folks have to grow up.

It’s a helpless ass feeling. Because as much as we can blame the system for a lot of our issues, the system isn’t making us pull the trigger in many cases. Some shit is just dumb shit.

I was speaking with my little cousin yesterday and she wants to make a difference. She sees the state we are in and wants to help change that. I applaud her because I used to feel the same way until I got older. Then it became exhausting. Now it’s whoever I can get to listen me. And now it’s turning into “man, y’all niggas just do what the fuck ever.”

It’s not even that complicated, but yet, here we are. Again and again and again.

I'll say this and leave it alone

This case is different. They have security and they checked in with the locals and felt protected because they were paying for protection on 2 fronts
Both failed them
They were moving how they were supposed to be able to move in the city with their own security and mob ties security holding them down

This the 2nd incident this year where mob ties was supposed to provide a safe space and someone got shot and hurt at a dice game
Their security firm is finished and Houston is a no go now

J Prince and his son are catching it on Twitter right now. If these "arrangements" are what they say, then the people ripping them on Twitter have a point, unless I'm missing something. This is the 2nd "event" his son has been involved with that a dude has gotten killed.

That other event with the jewler was a hit that didn't even start in Houston. Didn't have anything to do with the dice game it was some other shit.
