Every state has different requirements. My buddy for 30 years had a felony embezzlement conviction. It was exounged within 2 years of his release because he paid it back.

Why Felony Records are Permanent

In those 13 states, employers can use background checks, but can't ask about convictions until later in the hiring process.

Expungement
