I don't have a problem with it. Initially when I heard he was being considered about two months ago I had the knee jerk reaction. But people say he's a talented actor outside of those Twilight films. As long as he puts on about 20 pounds of muscle he'll be fine.

But if you can capture that intensity then maybe but as presently constructed he doesn't have the build or look to be him. But you can remake a body you can't capture the intensity needed and the ocd behavior Batman is one of the few heroes that requires a real gravity and depth to him to the point he's no different really than the villains he's chasing
I always want batman to be dark, to be brooding, to be conflicted, obsessed. To be determined. To be wrapped up in whatever the plot is to the point its laboring.
I liked PARTS of bale's batman they neutered him but the portrayal of his insistence on doing what he deemed was right to the point everything else suffered (his relationship with rachel, alfred) was spot on.
