If Trump actually did say this it wasn't a threat to the DOJ and would actually be a veiled threat to the Republicans letting them know that if they continue to allow these investigations he'll turn his supporters against them and ensure they lose to the Democrats aka.........
This sounds cool and all, but I'm kinda unclear on why he would keep a log like that. If it's so potentially incriminating, why wouldn't he just take it and/or destroy it outright?
Okay, actually I can see a scenario where that makes sense, if the documents incriminated someone else. I forgot the guy in question isn't loyal enough to just cover someone else's butt. He'd definitely try to keep the evidence for leverage.
