Not going lie, I forgot all about Bernard King. But dude was a true baller.
And it's funny his name would come up in relation to KD, cause King was the first player I remember seeing come back from a major injury like nothing ever happened. I remember people saying he was done after that injury, until he dropped like 50 on Mike on a Washington team that wasn't even that good.

Thanks for breaking this down as I don't recall alot of Bernard King because I was kinda of young in his prime, but Rashad Philips is someone I respect when it comes to the game of basketball...I recommend anyone to follow him on twitter or his podcast....

When the report came out during the summer that he wasn't returning the sixers calls but then he said when he was working out in California even though he wasn't returning their calls the sixers should have still came to see him I was like this dude is full of shit

At the apex of my basketball career, my jump was getting consistent. But I’m wasn’t naturally guard. I was more like a defensive 2/3 and I played 4/5 in high school which was way under size.

I had to learn how to shoot when I got in college. And got decent at it, but very unorthodox.

Man I hope one day we get to a point where we stop blaming the refs for wins and losses. Officiating will ALWAYS be good or bad depending on who's benefitting or not benefitting from it.

Playing ball we were all coached to not let the refs control or be the reason for the outcome of the game. Unless the refs eject the other teams best player(s), then every team can win despite refs missing calls or calling ticky tack shit. My coach in college always told me to pay attention to how the ref is calling the game and play accordingly cuz it won't change. He also told us to "Take the game out of the ref's hands" I've heard that since I was 10.

Refs ain't out there blocking shots or causing turnovers. Execution is your best defense against terrible officiating. Never let that be the excuse you lost a game.

Tonight at 8pm MDT/10pm EDT you will see a team not allow the refs to control shit. Why because they will put the game out of reach early and not leave any doubt. Minnesota wasn't screwed, they're just badly coached young and dumb. They're the NBA version of the Atlanta Falcons that let Brady erase a 25 point lead.

And I'm talking about the Warriors of course. Refs won't be able to do shit to help Denver tonight. If a team executes the way they are supposed to, fuck a ref

I came home thinking I'll be able to see the Bucks game. Come to find out the game was over in the first quarter....
