I'm sad to see the Hawks go so early, but I still commend Trae for how he is able to change his game to fit most moments.
Two years ago he was my favorite player to watch and I'm not even a Hawks fan.
Last year he went full Harden with the foul baiting b.s., but he was still able to have some great performances.
And unlike Harden, he was able to quickly adjust this season to the new way that the refs are calling fouls.

All the Hawks need now is size and defense.
Miami's defense basically trapped Trae in jail throughout the whole series and the Hawks were too little to do much about.
The Hawks need a guy like MEM's Bane. Someone who can hit big shots on one end and not get bullied ball by stronger players on the other end.
Every playoffs Hawks have major injuries. Last year Hunt and Reddish. This year Collins and Capela. For his size surprisingly Trae has held up. I though they'd at least get 2, especially when JB took a vacation....but it is what it is

He's right! It's been trending this way since 2015 when the Warriors set the bar on developing teams from scratch. OKC would have been the originator, but it wasn't the right time.

Now, when we look at the teams out here now, GS, Boston, Nuggets, Bucks, Suns, Heat, Hawks, Mavs, Philly (they still using the old paradigm), Memphis, and Minny along with non-playoff teams like the Cavs and Hornets that have a bright future, the old paradigm that Lakers, Clippers, and Nets are using is done for. There are true TEAMS out here.

Nuggets don't have key pieces, so we really don't know how good they can be, but they have a very bright future if MPJ and Murray come back healthy. They definitely overachieved.

I'm loving this version of the NBA a lot.

Don't think Memphis or Wolves got what it takes to deal with the Warriors next round it both teams continue to play like they have this round.
Wolves ain't gonna get up that big and Grizz ain't gonna come back from that much on GS
Both teams makes too many mistakes regularly to pull a series off against the Warriors.
I'm hoping for MEM v GS. That match-up seems to have more potential for a great series. And MEM seems like they really wants all the smoke with GS in the playoffs. Dubs are probably coming out in no more than 6 regardless though. Warriors v Wolves might end in 5 or maybe even a sweep. Minnesota makes way too many dumb mistakes to survive long against a tested and proven playoff team.

You got to keep him in the role that he is though. He can’t be the man and I’m not sure you can even start him. He too much of a wild card.
Boogie is still more than serviceable as a back-up big in today's NBA.
He biggest flaw is his reputation. He gets called for fouls on setting hard screens that I see other bigs get away every game.
Most of these young ass refs weren't even in the league when Boogie was in prime, so I don't even understand what their problem is with him.

Memphis is a way better match for GS than Minny. At least they have bodies to throw at GS shooters and don’t make as many dumb mistakes. Minny makes dumb mistakes, Memphis makes young mistakes.

Warriors are turnover prone and you have to use that against them. It has been their greatest weakness all these years.

Imagine a team throwing a PF on your star PG. :smh: That's what happens when you get rid of all your perimiter defenders. That was awful basketball to watch defensively. And the constant pick and roll on Jokic. It was terrible.

Memphis can do better than this.

Pat Bev for Minny on Steph would be so entertaining but only that matchup lol
