Really good episode. i'm sure the cast enjoyed to change up and show a different type of acting. Iris pulled off the bad ass female cop. Kaitlin & Cisco got to show their evil side. Nice easter eggs to come.
I know Barry is a character with morals and all but damn he had his chance.:fucking:

Wow I completely disagree

Tony is doing GREAT work he sounds menacing calm evil smart and focused.

Some of the best voice work I've heard in a long time
Just my opinion. When I get the feeling the writers are just reaching, I tire of the show. Maybe I don't really "get into" the shows like others do. No clue who Tony is.

This show is starting to get to a ridiculous level:smh:

Zoom needs some speech therapy.
Dude...there's a handful of black actors whose voicework is absolutely legendary.
Tony Todd is holding at #5 on the list of all-time great black voice actors.

5. Tony Todd- Candyman, Final Destination, Night of the Living Dead
4. Phil Lamarr- Mad TV, has probably voiced more cartoon and video game characters than anyone else in history.
3. Samuel L. Jackson- in some languages, the word "samuel" now means "angry black man who should not be fucked with"
2. James Earl Jones- if Darth Vader or Mufasa wasn't enough, when he reads poetry, you will understand words you never heard before
1. Morgan Freeman- Hollywood's defacto Voice of God, if bill collectors programmed in his voice instead of that robo-bitch, everybody's credit score would go up in the first week.

You're right. Forgot about him.
I would rank him maybe at #7, with Cree Summer at #6, and probably Regina King at #8.
In fact Cree Summer should probably be #5 instead of Tony Todd.
I feel like I'm still forgetting some one else though.

Assist..... You ARE missing someone.

Because TC Carson's voiceover work as 'Kratos' has reached ICON-level recognition in the video gaming industry.

Ever since 2005.... after 12 individual God of War video game sequels... and after 20+ MILLION copies sold.... pretty much anyone who has ever owned a Playstation PS2, PS3, or PS4 game console within the last DECADE... will prolly co-sign his skills.

Nice, but I wouldn't put him or Eddie Murphy in the top 10.

Why not? You kidding?
I would definitely put TC Carson in the Top 10.

Because the video game industry is BIGGER than the whole movie industry (and tv).
That's why all these major actors are looking for 'video game character' roles nowadays.

And Kratos is a BIG FISH in an ocean.
One of the absolute BIGGEST.

Kratos is one of the MOST DISTINCT & INSTANTLY RECOGNIZABLE voices in the History of video games. Point. Blank. Period.

Nobody ever says... 'Wow, ever notice Kratos really sounds like a bad carbon copy of.... (someone else / insert name)???"

Disagree?

You could turn off all the lights at the next Comic Con convention, or E3 event...... and just play an audio clip of Kratos' booming voice..... and EVERYONE would instantly KNOW who it is, without seeing any images or video of him.

C'mon man.

If that's not Top 10 'legendary status' in the voiceover game... I don't know what is. :dunno::rolleyes:

You cannot do the same for any character Phil Lamar has ever voiced. :hmm:
And most people wouldn't even know it is Phil doing the acting. :smh:

What makes someone reach 'legendary status' when it comes to voice overs?
Doing 100 different voices? Or doing 1 unique voice?

Does everyone recognize James Earl Jones for the numerous 'small roles' he has voiced-over? :dunno:
Or does everyone recognize James Earl Jones for the single ICONIC role as the voice of Darth Vader?

OK OK
I did not recognize Candyman's voice. I don't read credits and truthfully, I thought it was some CAC with some augmented voice - I also thought that the Zoom character. Also, I don't read comics so the back stories on the characters, I have no clue.
men's voices I do recognize
Sam Jackson, James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman, Worf, Corey Holcombe,Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, there are many more but I'm tired...

Tc Carson has only 1 big voice credit. Sure it's an major role, but despite the size of the God of War franchise, it doesn't really register outside the videogame industry.
In terms of how recognizable Kratos's voice is to the general public, he would rank lower than the guy who used to voice Elmo.
Most people won't recognize TC or Lamarr as Kyle and the black guy from MADTV from simply hearing their voicework, but more of them would know who Lamarr is than Carson.
But I think that if you turned off the lights in any darkened auditorium, especially Comic Con, a clip of Lamarr as Hermes from Futurama, or as Green Lantern John Stewart, or Wilt from Fosters Home would be recognized by just as many people as Carson voicing Kratos.

Lamarr has done the voices for almost one fourth of all Marvel and DC characters, in both cartoons and video games.
He's done over 400 different characters in video games and TV.
Trust me, dude would OWN a darkened auditorium at ComicCon because even if you didn't recognize the character, the voice would ring familiar.

By the same token, James Earl Jones voice is more recognizable than damn near everybody else on the list put together with just 3 movies as Darth Vader. I'm not even counting Mufasa.

The video game industry is LARGER than the movie industry.

Even with all the blockbuster movies recently that have cracked over $1 billion dollars... like The Avengers & Dark Knight, etc.... The video game industry is STILL bigger and makes MORE money.

That's the part you are missing.

You can add up all the video game character voices that Phil Lamarr has EVER done and NOT A SINGLE ONE of them are 'more recognizable' than Kratos. :hmm:

And his Futurama character is not 'more recognizable' than Kratos either. :smh:

Phil Lamarr's list of Video Game Voices:

Now put all those 400+ Marvel characters in a dark room, plus all these other characters above... And Nobody knows that Phil Lamar is behind them all, assuming they can even recognize the voices. :smh:

But on the flip side... the vast majority of God of War gamers knows that TC Carson is the voice of Kratos.

This comparison is not even close. :smh:

So when you say the Kratos character.... 'doesn't really register OUTSIDE of the video game industry'... that doesn't mean a damn thing when more folks are playing video games than going to the movie theaters, in the first place.

And here's the proof...

Worldwide box-office revenue for the ENTIRE film industry in 2015 was $39.1 billion.

Worldwide revenue for the ENTIRE video game industry in 2015 was $115 billion.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/video...han-hollywood-the-numbers-behind-video-gaming

The video game industry is bigger than Hollywood movies.
I'm not disputing that at all. But we're not talking about Hollywood movies, we're talking about TV cartoons and video games.
Lamarr has very little movie work, it's pretty much all TV cartoons and video games.
Even the DC and Cartoon Network animated films are direct to DVD and not part of Hollywood figures..
I'm looking at it from the perspective of exposure, not money or total sales.
Just because people recognize the voice, doesn't mean they know the identity of the voice actor.
Most God of War players don't know the name of Kratos voice actor, and most Metal Gear Solid 2 &4 players don't know the name of Vamp's voice actor.
No matter how many people can identify the sound of Kratos voice, there's no way TC Carson's voice work has been heard by more people than Phil Lamarr.
Even if you assume that every copy of God of War has been played by at least 3 people (18.29 mil copies x 3) that's 54.87 million people.
I added up only 10 of the games Lamarr was in and got 48.35 million copies. 48.35 x 3= 145.05 million people.
Only 10 titles out of the 73 games Lamarr has been in.
If you only look at Futurama, Lamarr did 140 episodes, with an average viewership of 2.1 million. (2.1mil x 140=294 million)
Samurai Jack: 52 episodes with over a million viewers per episode= 50 million viewers
If you turn on Cartoon Network for 24 hours, you will hear Lamarr as the voice of at least a dozen different character's, if not more.
More people have been exposed to Lamarr's voice work than Carson's.
Whether or not they can identify the actor by name is irrelevant, more people have heard the voice of Darth Vader than Carson and Lamarr put together and a lot of those people have never heard the name James Earl Jones nor do they even know it's a black man.
