They're actually pissing off and shitting on a group of people that includes some who have seen battle, are trained marksmen and snipers, are experts with explosives and IED's with some of these people dealing with severe mental health issues resulting from the trauma of war.

If this keeps up I'd be surprised if we don't start seeing shootings/assassinations (or attempts) of public officials.

Especially those in this group who have considered themselves hardcore MAGA only to be fucked over.

DOGE plans to cut VA contracts may harm veterans' care, employees say

What had been a list of 875 VA contracts scheduled for termination a little over a week ago has now become 585 canceled contracts, the VA said Monday. The about-face is a rare public retreat by the so-called efficiency operation known as DOGE, which has come under fire for moving to ax crucial government services and overstating the value of some of its savings to taxpayers.

After reading this thread I decided to file a claim for ptsd and they awarded me 80%. It wasn't combat related so all this time I didn't know it was worth a try. It's not about the money, I just wanted the government to agree with me, I would have been happy with a penny but I'm getting more than that. Thank you for the knowledge and bless you

Trump's VA is ending a rescue program that's saved 17,000 military veterans' homes

But the scant details offered so far by the VA make it unclear whether the program will be replaced by a different rescue program — or whether the move will strand thousands of other vets, many of whom are in financial peril because of the VA's own mistakes.
