I don't think the kid that played Joffery is no longer acting (at least not for now). If he wants to act again he'll be fine I believe, especially once GoT is over and the character is no longer a focal point. The kid that plays Zack is in my opinion a shitty actor (or maybe he has terrible direction). We're not supposed to like the character, but his acting is actually unbearable. However, he might be fine too, since The Strain really isn't going to be remembered for anything.
I wanted Eph to pull that trigger so badly, and blow his brains out.

many actors WAY before the internet had significant gaps if not failed careers because people couldn't separate them from the characters they played.
I'm old enough to remember that TV actors weren't respected and movie actors would NEVER do TV
they hated on soap opera actors...
theater actors were whole OTHER group
and as Friends made millions, Hollywood actors did guest appearances and received these big budget series especially as basic cable blew up
things got all mixed
but I think precisely BECAUSE of the internet it can be tough to just SHAKE such an ICONIC character
and you would be surprised The Strain has a HUGE following BEFORE the series and the series itself gets good ratings.
But I agree either Zack is a sh*t actor or is directed to be a sh*t actor...doesn't matter.
I don't think he is insufferable in a GOOD way.
and I wonder if his "bad" acting coupled with bad directing and writing the previous seasons...could really hurt his career

as far as character Zach was the worst.
in a weird way Joffry gets a pass for being an evil piece of shit from job. He no redeeming qualities or attachments.
but with Zach he has been an immature inconstient brat that won't accept reality.
He got a girl killed because he was in his feelings.
He got Nora killed to save his vampire mom
he has aligned himself with the master and vamps over his dad and humanity
he fucking set off a nuke
I said it a few pages back. I've watched a lot of tv and have seen my fair share of one dimensional kid characters, bad child actors or just bad child charcters.
