Re: The Walking Dead

where the zombies at???? a whole damn town. not one zombie. so far there has been two damn zombies anywhere near them since the herd. if you were stuck in a zombie apocalypse. this is the one to be stuck at. billions of people in the world...but none near that farm.

Idk why ppl are surprised by this...you hardly see that many ppl by a farm when they're alive muchless when they're fuckin dead...the pharmacy looked to be in a small ass town...again not so many ppl there when they were alive muchless dead...maybe a few stragglers here and there but that's it...anyway if it holds up like the comic there's something in store for your ass anyway

The ironic thing is the gripe that people have with the show, people are now having with the comic.

But the comic earned the right to be boring again. So much has happened that they can actually end it and satisfy everyone. Maybe Kirkman is too damn busy with the show. Invincible seems to be coasting as well.

I stopped watching this show a couple of weeks ago. It was nothing like last season and it started to become a chore to watch.

while the show ought to pick up, the pace a bit, i think alot of yall are missin the point of the story. TWD was never about zombie blood and guts flying every single minute. it was always about how these group of people have changed over time. those who need a constant zombie killing fix, will end up getting annoyed with the comic as well, cuz there are periods where they go 5-6 issues without seeing a single zombie.

also if you're waiting for an explanation for the zombie outbreak, don't hold ya breath. the comic is almost at 100 issues now and there's no explanation. moreover Robert Kirkman has repeatedly said that he's not interested in the origins of the zombie outbreak in any case.

They threw in a shitty ass explanation @ the end of season 1 :smh::smh::smh: for the most part ppl understand it's more about the characters that doesn't justify the extremely slow pace of the series...the writing for the show sucks...face it

I don't need gore. I just need something interesting. Two 45 snoozefest episodes in a 12 ep season is just terrible.

Some of my favorite scenes in movies don't have gore and don't cost shit to make. Like that scene in Goodfellas... "I'm a clown, I'm here to amuse you?" Hannibal talking to Clarice. You can do non-action and not make it a snooze fest. I'll take a narrative of how zombies ate T-Dogg's weed man.

But I haven't googled this shit yet, but will tonight and probably pick up the comic from our comic section. One thing I did enjoy was the World War Z audio book. Shit kept my attention like a muthafucka....

Bad WRITING bruh.....even if they got the zombie out the well, wouldn't that shit be contaminated? This show is getting dumber and dumber by the episode....it's almost an insult to the viewers.

But Shane's car made it from the first episode. And I guess Daryl is the non racist brother. Saving black men and telling Native American stories

Word. Correct me if I heard wrong but didn't they say they had FIVE wells and then proceed to go through all of that effort to not contaminate ONE?

If I'm not mistaken there are five wells on the property, but my guess is they wanted to remove the zombie in order to prevent it from possibly contaminating the other wells too.

Doesn't ignore the fact that they have used up 25+ gallons of water in a few days but I get what you are saying.

I don't think anyone expects gore, we expect good writing, instead it seems to be getting worse

Apparently the truck water was only "convenient" on that episode. Now they have a well, so that water doesn't exist. Who needs bottled water when you have gut filled well water.

The infection (audiobook) - think of it as a cross between the crazies and the mist. Damn good listen and is right up there with we're alive IMO

Day by day Armageddon 1 & 2 (audiobooks)-kind of similar to WWZ but it comes from the perspective of a naval officer documenting his experiences in a journal before and during the zombie apocalypse.

Ex-heroes/Ex-patriots (audiobooks)- this was a different type of book and great genre
blend. Basically revolves around a small group of super heroes who work alongside each other and build a community with a few hundred refugees after the zombie epidemic has already devastated the globe. There is more to it then that but that is the gist of it. Great characters and great story.

A mysterious virus suddenly strikes down millions. Three days later, its victims awake with a single purpose: spread the Infection. As the world lurches toward the apocalypse, some of the Infected continue to change, transforming into horrific monsters.

In one American city, a small group struggles to survive. Sarge, a tank commander hardened by years of fighting in Afghanistan. Wendy, a cop still fighting for law and order in a lawless land. Ethan, a teacher searching for his lost family. Todd, a high school student who sees second chances in the end of the world. Paul, a minister who wonders why God has forsaken his children. And Anne, their mysterious leader, who holds an almost fanatical hatred for the Infected.

Together, they fight their way to a massive refugee camp where thousands have made a stand. There, what's left of the government will ask them to accept a mission that will determine the survival of them all--a dangerous journey back onto the open road and into the very heart of Infection.

Stealth. Gorgon. Regenerator. Cerberus. Zzzap. The Mighty Dragon. They were heroes. Vigilantes. Crusaders for justice, using their superhuman abilites to make Los Angeles a better place. Then the plague of living death spread around the globe. Despite the best efforts of the superheroes, the police, and the military, the hungry corpses rose up and overwhelmed the country. The population was decimated, heroes fell, and the city of angels was left a desolate zombie wasteland like so many others. Now, a year later, the Mighty Dragon and his companions must overcome their differences and recover from their own scars to protect the thousands of survivors sheltered in their film studio-turned-fortress, the Mount.

The heroes lead teams out to scavenge supplies, keep the peace within the walls of their home, and try to be the symbols the survivors so desperately need. For while the ex-humans walk the streets night and day, they are not the only threat left in the world, and the people of the Mount are not the only survivors left in Los Angeles. Across the city, another group has grown and gained power. And they are not heroes.

amazon said:
It's been two years since the world ended. Two years since the dead rose and the plague of ex-humanity decimated mankind. For most of that time, the superhero called St. George, formerly known to the world as the Mighty Dragon, has protected the people of Los Angeles at their film-studio-turned-fortress, The Mount. Together with his fellow heroes - Cerberus, Zzzap, and Stealth - he's tried to give the survivors hope and something like a real life. But the swollen population of The Mount is becoming harder and harder to sustain, and the heroes are feeling the pressure.

Hope arrives in the form of a United States Army battalion, based in a complex a few hundred miles away in Arizona. This is not just any base, however. The men and women of Project Krypton are super-soldiers, designed and created before the outbreak to be better, stronger, and faster than normal humans. They want the heroes and all the people of The Mount to rejoin America and have normal lives again.

But can the military be trusted? And is there even a country left to rejoin? There is a secret at the heart of Project Krypton, and those behind it have an awesome power that will help them keep that secret hidden. The power of Freedom.
