Damn, that was a really nice episode. Negan was perfect, and Trevor from Grand Theft Auto V was pretty good too.
Fuck surrendering. Fuck giving them my guns. I'm going out in a blaze of glory. I'd rather fight on my feet than to die on my knees... And that's exactly what happened to somebody who got their head smashed. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until next season to see who got pretend piñata'd

I called this with my coworkers about a month back. I just realized that is how these shows end, I told them even if we saw a death we won't know the negan kill (comics) aside from next season. Just in how the actors were responding to questions about the finale

Nah. That's the thing. They didn't need to pull bullshit like that. It's the highest rating cable show ever. Has a loyal fan base and enough built in material for 3 more seasons easily. This has been panned across the board. It will hurt them.

I think so too. At this point they almost have to. All that viewer tension and suspense and great acting was wasted Sunday nite. You can't go back to that scene and expect us to give a fuck.
Now they gotta start the next storyline as what's the aftermath of that nite. No way they pick up back in the woods.

However, his introduction was completely ruined after a ridiculous cop out by the writers. Rather than actually show us who Negan kills, they decided that what we needed was a cheap cliffhanger. This is not okay. And Scott Gimple should have realized that. He had the power to say "no" to the cliffhanger. But he didn't. And now we, the fans, turn to you AMC. Take action and fire him. We beg you. Hire someone who won't do this kind of thing. Thank you.

Walking Dead fans all over are very upset at showrunner Scott Gimple, and rightfully so. That is why we, the fans of the show who do not like the way it is currently being run, have one simple demand: fire Scott Gimple. For the full reasoning, please refer to the actual text of the petition.
If I could make a brief suggestion, I think you should consider replacing him with someone you're already familiar with. Vince Gilligan, of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, both tremendously better written shows than The Walking Dead.

Yes, his intro and dialogue were bad ass. Rick gave the performance of his life.. But the show sucked. Heres why...... Before it started we knew there would be a confrontation, an introduction to Negan, and a act of violence. After the show, that all we still know. What was the purpose? And then had the audacity to draw it out in a 90 minute commercial stuffed over hyped "finale". Terrible.I understand where you're coming from. Well, that was fast. If you were irriated by the aggravating non-reveal served by The Walking Dead this past Sunday—like most of the planet—good news! A careful analysis of the audio of the death scene may reveal exactly who died. Spoilers! Maybe!
So here’s the deal: someone (the YouTube vid was posted by Federico Trione, but it appears to be a rip from this Tumblr) took the audio track from the episode’s final scene, i.e. the first-person view of someone being beaten to death. You can make out a lot more than in the original televised version:
I could be convinced either way the the high-pitched screams were or were not Maggie screaming Glenn’s name, but that’s very clearly a woozy Glenn trying to say “Maggie” there at the beginning. I think this audio track pretty specifically points to Glenn as the victim of Negan’s bat.
So here’s where it gets annoying: Can we trust this audio? Isn’t it possible thatTWD edited it together solely to trick hardcore fans into assuming Glenn is the victim, only to give us a new victim in the season 7 premiere? Sure, it sounds like an incredible trollish move, but they had no problem trolling us with the cliffhanger last Sunday. Besides, if it is Glenn, then it’s still hellaciously trollish, seeing as showrunner Scott M. Gimple swore that the TV series would take a “hard left turn” from this scene in the comics, in which Negan killed Glenn in the exact same scenario in the exact same way.
If Glenn dies, this clearly isn’t a hard left turn. It’s putting on your left-side turn signal, and then going straight anyway. Not only is it annoying, it’s a damn good way to get into a wreck. You hear me, TWD?

Whoever got whacked was in the Savior's van, because the damn episode begins with a first person shot from inside the van and they make it a point to show that perspective two more times in the episode.

I say Abraham. Like the comic book, he was trying to look towards having a future with Sascha like Glenn was with Maggie right before he got killed. Glenn was looking forward to making Alexandria Safe Zone a home for them and starting a family. That's the same thing Abraham was talking about with Sascha in the van. Kirkman said there were hints and I think that's the biggest one. Every character death from the comic was changed on the show. A different character has taken their place. Hershel was the biggest from the comic. The prison was supposed to be Tyreese meeting a headless end. So this makes me believe they will continue you this and make Abraham take Glen's place.
Eugene. There was absolutely no need to communicate his worth and value as much as they did, not to mention the long goodbyes. And most importantly, there was NO other reason to give Rick the bullet recipe.
I haven't read the comics so I don't know how things play out but I think at this point the turnaround, when the world starts to get back to normal, could be far more compelling than this same redundant formulaic shit we've been watching the last few seasons.
This show is fiction but let's think realistically. If you wanted to make a example of someone and have them give half their shit up every month why would you kill off one of the obviously weak people? You would want to kill off the strong ones like that cac who looks like Duke Nukem and leave the weak ones alive so you can easily bully them.
I believe it's Eugene also,because he has no connection to viewers. I mean he started to show value last few episodes he'll be missed ,but too little too late
